Aiyoo….this road bullies are really becoming quite rampant these days, huh? As the days go by, they are becoming MORE and MORE daring. I should really look around for a metal baseball bat or something. Sometimes, I really wonder what causes this behaviour. Can’t everyone just DRIVE in peace? Accidents happen, SO WHAT??? Just because someone accidentally bumped into you, doesn’t mean that you come out and show your ‘macho-ness’ then scare the crap out of the other driver, you know? What more when the person in the wrong actually comes out to asses the damage and offers to pay for the damages. Why can’t *some* people be more civilized?

It’s getting SO scary nowadays that whenever some idiotic, stupid, moron of a driver tries some stunt on the road, eg. cutting into MY lane without signaling, my mum will go, ‘Eh, eh…be careful. Don’t go too close. After knock, die!! Road bullies a lot these days!!’. See? Scaring old women is a SIN!! Those road bullies should take note leh. But seriously, I REALLY don’t give chance to such arse-voids, so I will normally inch nearer. Sorry la beb!! You think I’m a girl lady, so I’m supposed to be a chicken and give in, is it??? HAH!! I laugh at your pathetic existent and ignorance. I CHOOSE to be civilized and if I can do so, why can’t you? Do you think yourself some higher class being just coz you got a bigger, newer, shinier vehicle? PUHLEEZZ!!!

I really don’t get it. Why should some people pull STUPID stunts like these? Hhmm…..since I’m at it, might as well spill some of the STUPIDITY these arse-voids normally do that SO gets on my nerves and pisses me off.

1. Cutting into MY lane without signaling. At least if you signal, I would give in BUT also depends on the situation. Eg. You are approaching a 4 junction traffic light and you know which road leads to where ~ the one on the left goes straight and the one of your right, obviously turns right, right? But then some arse-void decides to ‘jump queue’ from the line up in the right lane and then SUDDENLY zips/cuts across into MY lane. Wuuaahhh…..DIU you lar!! You wanna reach point B, I oso what, so why must I give in you??? Blah!

2. Changing lanes on highway, again without signal. Aiyooo…friend! You want to die like road kill up to you lar. Other people, including yours truly want to live long enough to at least get married and have children lar. So, please….USE YOUR SIGNAL LIGHTS!! They were put there for a REASON.

3. Driving in the MIDDLE of the road. This one classic statement from an American colleague really makes total sense. While he was here, he asked me, ‘Do the lines of the road serve as a guide for Malaysian drivers to drive straight?’ MALUNYER!!! I know this is true because I’ve seen it more times that my pups have pooh-ed. *Shakes head* Why must ANY sighted driver do this? Dunno how to keep to your lane ar? Your car so big must take up space in my lane arr??? Siao!! Motorcyclists are no different. Ex5 taking up more than half of the road ~ mana boleh? (How can???) Then you blame the car drivers for being reckless, insensitive and blind but you don’t bother to notice that you’re taking up (almost) the WHOLE road while on your evening motor ride. Is THAT fair?

4. Driving WELL below speed limit. Ok, if the speed limit is 60 km/h and you’re poot-ing along at 40 km/h while chatting and talking baby talk with your darling…I’d say why not just jog together-gether? Why waste petrol since the petrol prices are going up. Why BOTHER driving at all? Stick to the speed limit lar!!!! Too slow and you might cause an accident too, ok? So please don’t think driving slow means it’s safe. That also doesn’t mean I’m encouraging you to zoom past at 180 km/h on a 60 km/h stretch ok? You want to race, join the F1circuit lar. Don’t come and show your ‘terror’ on the highways. There’s always the right place for everything including your *sometimes* reckless speeding. Plus, you want to terkezut (scare) people with your exhaust booming is it? Surprises are NOT welcomed on the roads, ok?

Frankly, I think it all boils down to you being a considerate driver and I guess, it really does pay to practice defense driving ESPECIALLY on our Malaysian roads. Yes, it’s true although I wished I didn’t have to admit it. If I do NOT practice defense driving, I have no idea how many accidents I would have been coupled with. REALLY, jokes aside. No matter if you’re driving a car, van, bus, lorry, riding a bicycle OR a motorbike, YOU as the vehicle handler is responsible for YOUR actions on the road.

Hmm…I think I’ve been ranting too much this week. No, I’m not having no PMS to be this way. It must be all that pent up anger that’s slowly spurting out now. Better to spurt out later, than never to spurt at all. *Gosh, that does sound a little ‘wrong’ dunnit?* :) Ok lar, I think I’m done ranting for today….anyone want to add on, please do for I’m SURE there are SO many more stupid road stunts I missed out. Yes, I haven’t even started on the parking stunts yet oso. Sigh…..

**What a coincidence!! :) Look what I just read in The Star. :P : Rude Drivers Lack Emotional Control

One of my friends drives like that too. And I rarely keep my eyes open when I sit in his car!

  2. bunny : ONLY when i’m forced into the situation n i’m in a foul mood. :) otherwise, i’m a VERY curteous driver. :P

  3. I wonder if it’s really that troublesome to use the signals for like, less than 5 secs to switch it on and off. Or maybe they expect others to have telepathic minds to know they’re switching lanes..

  4. lil patchee : well, obviously some ppl think so. sadly most of us are not equipped with such SUPER powers. sigh.

  5. Hehehe i can laugh now – in an hours time i have to go trough the same then cannot laugh la aiyooo god bless

  8. visithra : that’s the one thing that most mums have in common, shrieking. mine normally shrieks right in my ear when i get a BIT daring n also if SHE thinks i’m going to know the BIG tong sampah.

plink : YOU?? it was YOU??? why you….. =P

ted : NO. You kept saying that just to bug me. =P i wasnt familiar with the road n it WAS winding ok? my excuse HAS to be acceptable. :D lol….

  9. *KNOCK the big tong sampah, i mean. :P

  10. Sorry Yvy. Guilt, mostly…. :) I’m sure I’ve accidentally done the above before.

Guess what? I get most unhappy/naik berang when someone else does it. Is road rage ok as long as we’re the ones doing it? o_O

    *hides again*

  11. plink : :-O guilty as charged!!! OF COURSE NOT LAR!!! we shouldn’t be doing it in the first place. why would u wanna do that? :( to me road bullies = ignorant uncivilised ppl, with no civic mindedness nor the capability to sit down n discuss things out like wat NORMAL civilised ppl would do. right? :) time to change that attitude, plink. it’s NEVER to late ~ go towards the light, plink…go towards the light. :P

  12. “But seriously, I REALLY don’t give chance to such arse-voids, so I will normally inch nearerâ€Â

Try inching nearer and closer to their cars, usually I see the other fellow will drop back. Muahahaha

  13. I hate those that cut you from the left. Must be kopi lesen. :)

  14. what about those who cut you by using the emergency lane? so geram with them! there you were feeling hot and frustrated getting stuck in a ja, then suddenly this car breeze past you using the emergency lane. just wish that there would be a police nearby to book them for using the emergency lane.

  15. I think withholding the licence for 2 weeks might help deter crazy drivers. Our accident rates actually went up compared to last year, not good, not good…

  16. LB : hehe!! gurl, u think like me. especially if its an expensive car. i dont give face wan. come nearer lar, you car scratch me, tau la apa akan ku buat…..:P

anjali : those cutting in from the left OR right in my case deserve to have their interior drench IN kopi, i tell u!! sickening people!!

lucia : OMG!! lucia…you are SO right lar. the jam is already bad enuf, pressure is shooting upwards n then some idiot zips by on emergency lane (always happens to me on the Penang Brigde) n cuts abt 5 cars in front of me. how to fight back – quietly suffer n curse that ALL 4 tayar pancit at the same time, under breath lor. :D then again, i heard PG Bridge oredi quite strict. sure kena saman wan.

totoro : wah, you’re VERY kind if you are the JPJ. if me, forfeit license n ban from driving on the roads. after all they are a menace right? wat better than to indefinitely keep them off? mmuuuhahahaha!! *my evil laugh in case u all dunno* =P

  17. I propose all Penang drivers be forced to take special road ethics exam… incorrigible… isk…

  18. cmos : inline with MY hope to get rid of road menaces – your proposal is accepted. :D sadly, if pass BUT still a menace HOW?

  19. Yvy : Hukuman gantung sampai pengsan.

  20. cmos : gantung dari MANA??

  21. Must… pay… more… attention… to… road!

Nanti kena marah by Yvy, how? ;-)

cmos/Yvy: Eh, I heard gantung sampai PUTUS wor….

  22. I think they (the siau drivers) come from a special school. Seriously. It’s like there’s a secret underground organization that offers special courses on TERROR driving. They probably get certificates and such too. Then there’s the extra curricular activies like joining fraternities – so if there’s an accident on the road all your brothers come running to help you bash the poor counterpart of the accident. Makes sense, no? ;D
