Aiyoo…why is it that whenever a woman gets angry, they and the people around them will blame PMS for the outburst?? I just don’t get it. :???: Lilian wrote a good entry on this and I find it damn hilarious! At least she agrees with me or more like I agree with her lar. Then again, you can definitely expect lots of truth in it’s best form from Lilian!

Let’s say you REALLY got your PMS…..so WHAT???? You knew that from the day you got the curse that you would be having it at least for the next bloody 30 yrs of your life. You can’t run away from it, you can’t even HIDE from it. Hell, you wouldn’t even be able to have kids if you didn’t HAVE your period in the first place, ok? Yes, I said the ‘P’ word. So what, it’s au naturel, ok? Relax lar. It’s part and parcel of a woman’s life.

Ok, now that you’ve established and accepted the fact that you’ve been cursed…..LIVE WITH IT!!! DEAL WITH IT!!! Just coz you got the red flag flying doesn’t mean the people around you should share or be affect by the wrath that it incurs ok? It’s not fair and that shouldn’t be the way. It’s YOUR problem (well, it’s really is NOT a problem but still) so you learn to deal with it. Don’t expect the people around to be nice and sweet to you JUST COZ you’re having IT or it’s THAT time of the month again. Please lar….(love this quote from Lilian) :

“If you are old enough to get your period, you are old enough to use your brain to control your own actions and reactions.â€

Now, that I’m done siding the boys, (Yes, boys…you may applaud my good cause now.) I have to be fair to the girls as well. Now….. it would definitely be nice to be pampered every now and then but it doesn’t have to be BECAUSE of PMS that we get pampered. I will and HAVE to admit that when PMS does strike, for some it hurts like hell (like for me) and for others, it’s just a touch and go thing. So you can’t TOTALLY blame someone wholly for being a little bit grumpy, after all, one is in pain, right? *Don’t worry, I won’t go into the bloody and gory details, ok?* And when one is in pain, she is best left alone OR better yet, be pampered. Even then, how many men do you know who would SERIOUSLY and willingly pamper their women? Unless you got some romantic, almost-close-to-perfect other half ~ forget it!! Most guys would just either leave you alone or just accept the M16 shots coming their way. Quiet pitiful lar, if you think of it!

I personally don’t let loose on the people around me when I’m facing the floods of the Red Sea because I personally feel that I can deal with it and frankly speaking, if I do show that I AM grumpy and moody, then EVERYONE will automatically KNOW or ASSUME (Quite typical to assume most of the time) that I’m having IT. I don’t want people to know lar….for what??? Some more 80% here are guys, paisey lar (it’s embarassing)!! Some things are just not meant for public announcements. Plus, I don’t think I need THEIR sympathy, but if boyfriend….then THAT’S a different story lar!

  1. i’ve seldom met women who let PMS affect their daily lives. those who bitch and bite, will bitch and bite regardless of PMS. then that becomes just an easy excuse for bad behaviour.

  2. totoro : well, i’d say that u’re one of those VERY lucky men. thank ur lucky stars!! but i know there are women out there who blame PMS but like u mentioned, it really could just be an excuse for bad behaviour. good point. *phew! i’m well behaved, thank goodness!!!!*

  3. i realized i do get a tad snappier than usual during the first 2 days. but sometimes it can’t be helped. it’s not like i plan to be moody or anything. it really just happens. sigh.

  4. I say, yay!

  5. hedon : never say never…

  9. 1st day snappy/weepy/grumpy/easily irritable but only the boyfriend knows about it and gets hell for it (like last night – but I got hell for it too T_T ).

I’m usually just tired or quiet in public – coz of the painkillers.

  10. mei : whoah….painkillers? must b pretty bad then. u mean those pink pills by panadol?

  11. pms eh? there’s someone here who blamed her notebook when she was throwing one of her i-want-you-to-do-my-work-for-me-&-u-better-not-refuse-me moods.

she said her notebook’s having pms (when it’s actually HER). ROTFLMAO.

  1. [...] Anyway, back to my entry now, when did you learn all about IT? For me, it never really bothered me until I was Standard 6, and that was pretty much the time I got cursed (I think ~ can’t remember).Whatever it is, it was in Std 6 that I was first enticed into all these romantically inclined novels. I’m not saying that I ONLY read raunchy novels in Std 6 but what I’m saying was that I FIRST read a novel with such attributes in Std 6 and it was Tanamera by Noel Barber. [...]
