Finally…THE blogger meet.
Saturday had me so stuffed that I went to bed only after the England vs Portugal game. I guess the shock and amount of laughing I was holding in contributed to my inability to fall asleep but nothing that a quick shower couldn’t help. Soon, I was fast asleep. Woke up at about 9am and all geared to go for the blogger meet. Got dressed, packed my shocking pink bag and was ready to leave for brekkie at 10am. SUDDENLY I remembered that I hadn’t confirmed with May & Angel!!! *Feeling bad here* I quickly sms-ed her to tell her that I would be able to meet her after all. But sadly, *totally my fault here* she had already made other plan coz she thought the meet up wasnt possible. I totally take the fault here *still kicking self over it* and was a little sad that I couldn’t meet the Great Cook. But there is always December and that little trip to Ozzie I hear she’s planning. :tongue:

It was also then that I realised I didn’t bring Emmanuel’s number with me! *slaps forehead* Really, Em….no bluff you one. Never thought of conning you either…so if I’m around when you drop by Penang again, we can surely meet up.

I arrived at KL Sentral a wee bit too early ~12noon to be exact and I knew for sure that only Visithra had confirmed about coming. So I had VERY low hopes, in fact near to no hope that anyone was turning up. Even if only one blogger turned up, it would be better than none. So since I was early, I went postcard hunting and managed to splurge on 20 cards. And I tell you, this will finish in no time at all! By 12.45 I was walking aimlessly waiting for time to pass until I was so tired that I plopped myself down right outside Starbucks and waited and waited and waited. And I noticed this guy who had walked passed me a couple of times. I thought he must be more lost than me!

Visithra called up about 1pm saying that she might be a wee bit late and then Lynnee gave me a surprise sms and said that she was coming too!! JOY!! But would also be late so I waited lar….until 1.30pm when Visithra turned up. Was so happy to see that familiar pottu. :hehe: So we chatted a bit and then decided to find a spot to hang out coz I’m no fan of Starbuck/coffee and neither was Visi. So we walk around the centre of KL Sentral, hoping that someone would recognise me and finally ended up at a tiny food stall called Restoran Deli N Meals which was right in front of some car exhibition.

Soon after, Lynnee turned up with that lost guy!! [See above if you forgot who I was talking about....:hehe:] That lost looking guy turned out to be Jack. Soon we all settled down and had our drinks and chatted away. Everyone took pix of me and my tattoo! So shy only lar….:blush: [But felt a wee bit femes lar...LOL] Then I had to run coz Sha was fetching me and when you hardly come to KL, there’s just so much to do and so many people to meet!! Such a pity that I missed Anjali* who came right after I left. She was still seaching for a parking spot as I was leaving KL Sentral. Sorry we couldn’t meet up, gurl….but promise that the next meeting will SURELY happen.

I was pleasantly surprised when Sha told me that she had managed to get tickets to watch Superman at 1 Utama. I was shocked actually that she got them being a Sunday and all but it was all good. As you know, I’m not really a fan of this genre but it was good. According to Rakesh [Sha's boyboy], the direction was good but knowing me, I didnt really notice lar. *Blur sotong :silly:] I thought the movie was watchable and maybe the movie world has found her new Christopher Reeves. Yup, I think Superman/Brandon Routh is such a pretty boy!! :whistling:

Monday morning saw me and Sha up early coz I wanted to have my teh tarik and ghee thosai. Right after brekkie, Rakesh dropped me off at KLCC and I made my way to the Australian High Commision and parked myself outside their door a few minutes before 8am. Since the office opens at 8.30am, I pretty much wasted time watching people and cars go by. It was as hectic as I expected it to be and soon, the door opened and as usual, like cows led into the open, everyone was rushing to get in. Aiyo…how I’m going to miss the jostling and being kiasu. :rolleyes:

I must applaud the Australian Hi-Comm for a job well done as they were very efficient and FAST. I walked into the office at 8.30am and by 9.30am I was already walking toward the KLCC LRT station to catch the earliest bus out to Kulim at Pudu. By 10.30am I was at Pudu. [Please dont mind me....I was taking my own sweet time walking to Pudu and even made a pit stop at Burger King to grab my favourite Double Swiss Mushroom burger but none was available coz it was still brekkie hour so I took a Chicken Roll sandwich instead.]

Transport companies need to improve timing, PRONTO! :loser:
I was SO happy that I was in time to get the 10.45am bus to Kulim, a blessing or what?? Or so I thought lar. :rolleyes: You know, I wouldn’t have minded if we had to wait 15 minutes, heck I’d even sacrifice 1/2 hours but 1 WHOLE BLARDY HOUR is just plain too much!! :angry: What more when you don’t bother to explain WHY we were waiting. At the end of that hour, only ONE guy came up the bus. Not only that, I asked around….some had tickets which was for the 11am bus and here I was with my 10.45am bus ticket…wtf?!?! :grouch: I was about to get up to screw the bus driver and that ticket guy when the doors closed and we were off, my watch showed 11.45am. I was pissed coz I had planned to do some banking when I got home and it would have been possible if the bus was on time!! :grrr:

Other than that, the ride was smooth, thank God for that and I didn’t have no hell driver terrorising vehicles on the road. I reached home, safe and sound at about 6pm. Didn’t really do much after that other than check my snail mail box, email and blog. Can’t live without these 3 you know? :hehe: After that, I rushed off for some prayers.

And there you have it, my awesome, fun-filled, a tad bit pissed off mad and safe weekend. Amacam ['How' in our local lingo], ok or not? :tongue:
