The meme I nearly forgot…

Ash tagged me with this once upon a time while my net was flatline for a few weeks and since I hardly [almost never] turn down any tags…..off I go on this insane journey of trying to keep this as sane as possible. Dont say I didnt try nor warn you….

1. If Britney Spears would be made Queen of the world and she ordered you to wear Frocks in public, would you? Why?
I’d wear it if she’d be such a pain in the ass which is highly unlikely which also means that I wont ever need to wear a frock ever in public. But I hear that French maid uniforms is another story all together.

2. Ronald Weasley goes on vacation. Harry has given an ad in the local newspaper for a new RON, would you apply?
Hell yes!!! Erm….who’s Ronald Weasley?

3. Why do mice like cheese?
They do??

4. Explain the theory of relativity in detail.
Waaa? :quizzical:

5. Why are Orangutan’s red?
Coz if they were black they’d either be called chimps or baboons or gorillas.

6. Are people stupid?
Always…even when they think they aint which makes things even worst!

7. Is pizza better than a burger or is a Royal Chinese Duck better than a pizza?
Gelatos are the BEST!!!

8. When will I conquer the world and will you help me to?
You will never conquer it coz I already have….! lol

9. What would you want to be among these - Stripper, Osama’s personal Slave or Dictator of Antartica?
What about being Osama’s personal slave who strips all the time in the disguise of the Dictator of Antartica? :silly:

10. Am I out of my mind?
Yes….coz I actually finished this tag.

Ash, I hope you’re happy now….I’ve lost millions of brain-cells raking up such questions. I’m tired….and it’s time for dinner!!!

I never realised it at all!

Omg….I didnt even know it was Deepavali and Raya coming up on Tuesday!!! If my Mum didnt tell me, I wouldnt have known at all. Aiyoo….damn blur arent I? There are no signs whatsoever that either of these festivals was coming up besides ONE bookstore which was selling Deepavali cards and it had to mention it or people wouldnt know.

I guess I knew it WAS coming but I never knew when…..and Ramadhan, gosh…..that slipped right past me! If I were back home, I’d be racing with my Muslim friends to the pasar ramadhan to buy back snacks of all kinds - which incidently I dont need to eat nor buy back coz Mum would have cooked dinner but it would be almost impossible to just drive pass without having strong aromas filling up your whole car!! I guess I miss that the most…O, and I also miss all those kuih raya too. Miss the otak-otak my sis used to bring back from Uni. I prefer the Johor otak-otak compared to the Penang one. They are both different in flavour but I have my preference on the grilled one. Haiz…..I miss the hustle and bustle too.

As for Deepavali, I miss my Grandma’s rose cookies. Now that she’s gone, I dont get them made especially for me. Patti [Grandma in Tamil] used to make murukku and rose cookies and laddu for Deepavali eventhough we dont celebrate Deepavali but being Indian, I guess she just did it for tradition sake. She made the best rose cookies ever! I miss her lots…

O well, on a brighter side…..here’s wishing a blessed belated Deepavali and a happening Hari Raya to one and all!! I hear you guys are having a bloody long holiday, lucky fellas…. Enjoy the hols people, it’s not often you get to have many standoffs with your colleagues over your annual leave and who get to go on it. :hehe:

Belated FF : My first meal

I feel like as if I’ve just only arrived in Sydney [today]. Not too sure why I feel that things seem rather brand new. It must be coz my Internet is up and running and I feel rejuvenated! Anyway, it’s about time I brought back good ol’ Fancy Friday. I bet you miss it but I miss it even more coz I haven’t been putting up my pix weekly as I had planned. None the less, I’m not really complaining lar coz I dont really have that many pic to put up, really.

In any case, I still have a few from when Ted cook me my first meal - I’m the missus, of course it’s only right that I should be pampered. Heh.

I’ve got pix to show you but my stupid blog is giving me problems! It wont let me put in any pix!!!! :grrr: Anyway, pls make a beeline to my Flickr account and check it out there, ok? Sorry peeps….:worried

Hope you have a good weekend….I have to get back to my hot wok - my first attempt at cooking nasi lemak and rendang to go with it. It’s for our dinner at a church get-together tonight!

It’s alive! I’M ALIVE!!!

:dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: I’M ALIVE!!!!

I AM BACK!!!

The ADSL finally connected to the phone line after Ted’s *ahem* constant bugging and nagging and complaining to the net people. You’d think they’d work faster here but it’s the same lar.

In any case, me no complain now. Me got internet and me VERY teh happy!! YIPPEEE!!! :dancing:

Working woman!

WOOHOOOO!!! :dancing:

I got the job!!! YAY!! MALAYSIA BOLEH!! :dancing:

Yes! I nailed em’ good alright….showed them what we Malaysians are all about. Oklar, dont want to boast pulak. I went in for the interview in the city by myself. Good thing Ted took me the night before to the city by train and bus as I would be doing the yesterday or I would have ended up out at whoop-whoop!! [That means a far away place for those who dunno....new word for me too. Longat Ozzie!] Such a sweety he is….kesian him oso coz he had to take me after he got home from work. Pity him but this is what love is all about, no?

Anyway, I must say that I am proud of myself - I hardly ever am but when I do, it feels GOOD. I have to thank all the well-wishes and prayers that have been offered up for me to succeed, I did not do this on my own - I’m pretty sure the Lord had a big hand in this. Now it’s only left to see if I’m starting on 25th or 1st of Nov. So thank you all.

Starcrossed Angel, I shall see u soon!!!

Calling all Sydney mya kaki!

Hmm…..ALMOST one month since I got here and the only friends I have are Ted’s friends. Aiyoo..so sad lar. I’m hoping that WHEN I get that new job, my circle of friends will expand and expand and EXPAND! But until then, I’ll have to make do with Ted’s one lar.

Now, I know there are a few of you who are located in Sydney, not necessarily near where I live but if you EVER decide to visit Parramatta. Please holler at me! Even if you’re in the city a.k.a Sydney, let me know….I will try n take a train out there. Still a bit ulu with the trains and all that but I’m sure with a little bit of help and luck, I’ll make it there in one piece.

Well, gtg now…have to go get myself ready for THE interview tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Ps. No internet yet, we were told that it’s coming tomorrow. We’ll see…..
