The grass is always green on my side.

I’ll be home for Christmas….

This would have been my theme song for this Christmas, sadly…..it isn’t so.

I had been looking forward to coming home [to Malaysia] for Christmas since the day I left because :

  • I left behind a LOT of things ie. my knick-knacks, office clothes, boxes of tea leaves and even more bags of curry powder and the lot
  • I was looking forward to seeing Mum, Sis and me pups. Also the family of course…[How could I ever forget them!]
  • I was hoping to take mini trips to KL and Kluang to say ‘Hello, didn you miss me?? and ‘Bye-bye, dunno when I’ll see you again’ to blogger friends and the family down south.
  • I was planning to go on a mini cruise with Ted on this  ship Mum keeps telling me about. It’s got like a tiny city on-board with eat-all-you-can buffets, the cabaret, casinos and even a clubs I think.

So, yes, it’s a pisser when I think about it but I guess it’s something that can’t be avoided. I have to set my priorities straight and at the moment, travelling is a big no-no for us. But we will be down in March instead [keeping our fingers crossed] for a 2 in 1 - me coming home AND celebrating my bestest friend’s wedding!!!! :dancing: She’s FINALLY getting hitched!! [Hehehe...I know you read this once in awhile Sha, but hey, if it ain't me poking ya - who else will?? :hehe:]

Nonetheless, I will still be celebrating Christmas with family - my new family and I’m certainly looking forward to experiencing Christmas angmoh style. I think my MIL is gonna be cooking up a storm from what Ted tells me. According to him, this special annual dinner normally has a WIDE spread of food and I can’t imagine how elaborate it’s going to get because as it is, our normal weekend lunch at Ma’s is ALREADY elaborate! Thinking about all the food is certainly making my mouth water…even now! Expect some MAJOR photo-taking sessions. I told Ted, I don’t care what he or his family thinks of me going bonkers snapping every other dish that’s on the table but I will be going thiak-thiank-thiak till my batteries run out!! :silly:

The only other bugger is that….it’s gonna be a SUMMER HOT Christmas!!! :crying:
