Finally, I’m up to getting this done. First thing though - a piece of good news. I got that temp job for 3 weeks!!! YAYNESS!!!! I’m so happy and today was the official first day for the next 3 weeks and things were nice and smooth. Seems rather stress free too which is pretty darn good. Anyways, thank you for your support and prayers. It certainly worked! Now, on to more of the pictures I promised you.

A 2-men tiny tanker called a ferret. I think it’s very cute!
Eerrmm…I personally am no fan of gun what more kids AND guns but let’s hope this encourages them to JOIN the army and not otherwise. Then there are also the food packs that each soldier has to carry and at least 5 packets each. We were told that they are to carry this, 8 water canteens, their rifle, ammunition and if they carry the M-16 which has like a HUGE load of rounds - that’s at least 200kgs on each man. And there I used to wonder how come these men are fit to just about kill anyone. Scary!

The Flyball Dog race that took place - I thought this was so cute!! Hehehe…..
Pictures of how people lived then. Some of the old stuff, kids carving = play time, women dressed up to the ‘90-s’ and a blacksmith hard at work.

Gawd, when I saw this I went all quesy each time a kid ‘lifts off’ and does a spin in mid-air. Aiyo!! Ngeri lar….
The fun slide - no, you don’t slide down with what you have on, you slide down on a gunny sack! I tried one of these water slides and I bumped my head real bad. Since then, I’ve kept my distance be it on land or water.
The videos I promised you :
1. Flyball Dog Race
2. A Polynesian Dance

Wow, I knew making your own avatars were fun but this takes the cake!! I’ve always wanted to make my very own avatar but I have yet to find that perfect avatar maker. But…..ever since this came about - my problems are almost over! All I need now is to get my creative juices flowing with Dress Up Games.
However, dress up games aren’t the only thing you can get out of of this dollmaker. I find it so interesting because the things you can do with this is simply amazing!! They’ve got tonnes of fashion designs to choose from, various categories to choose from [my favourite 2 are the gothic chicks and the winter/summer fairies] and not only that, they even got loads of models too. I’ve actually made 2 of my own but they hardly looks ANYTHING like me. However, these are actually 2 samples which Dress Up Games have actually designed.

I know that the designs here are mostly games made for girls but that doesn’t mean you can’t let the other side of you shine. I think it’s a great way to play with these fashion games as well. These games could even encourage your little girls and boys to become fashion designers!! Who knows, right?

Aiyo…..so tired!! My back aching…..my ankles aching…..everywhere oso aching!! My respect to those who are/have been cashiers before and know the pain one has to go through when you cannot sit down [for long or not at all] while cashier-ing.
This is the first time I have had the chance to be a cashier and I can tell you, it’s no joke! It is fun since you don’t really have to deal with whiney and rude people because they have to be nice to you due to the fact that they are the ones paying for their courses but aitelyu…..the standing is really no joke! It reminded me of my line operator days but I was young then *shakes head* so can still tahan standing for long periods of time but now….*pengsan* The one good thing is that my work mates are all nice gals and my supervisor is also a very good and understanding AND patient one too!
Thank godoodness for such a sweet and caring husband who has no choice but to pamper me and ah-moh [massage] my achy bits almost the past 2 days - Sunday coz we were walking so much, the after effect of Australia Day and today because of work lar. Goes to show how unfit I am!! Terrible…..
Due to that very good and truthrul excuse, Part II have to wait lar ok? If I still larat, it will be up tomorrow, if not, then the following day. But for now, please pray that I super impress my supervisor so that I can con him into giving me a job for the next 2 or 3 weeks. At least I can buy my camera and not feel so sakit hati. Heh.
Au revoir!

Ted and I had great fun on Friday, 26th Jan 2006. It was my first time celebrating this special day and like I mentioned earlier, thank goodness for good weather. But I still got burnt, slightly. No harm done though.
Anyways, enjoy….this will be in a 2 part thingy. Too many pictures to stuff into one post. Plus I want to keep u in suspenders. Hehehe….and there will be 2 videos for u too!!

The huge banner by the main street.
The Zoomobile from Taronga Zoo.

The echidna which I managed to stroke before the kiddies pushed me out of the way. Brats! [See, this was why I was SO unimpressed, no proper animal petting allowed - I couldnt hold the huge python!!! NOT HAPPY!!!]

The weird looking stick like insect which I know not the name, but I think it’s fugly.

What is an Aussie event without a BBQ!! Here the men are hard at work. Woohooo!!

These sheep I believe have already been sheared and I missed it! Cis….

At first I thought that this was a band playing right through the park but then I realised that is it actually the ‘town sheriff’ who has stopped to arrest the ‘village drunkard’, who sadly is not yet in the pic when I snapped this.

The artistic me trying to get all artsy-fartsy. It’s the opened rooftop of a gazebo in the Rose Garden. I’m pretty sure it would look excellent during spring time.
Hopefully the rest will be up tomorrow. O by the way, I managed to get a 2 day temp job as a cashier at some college due to new enrollments. Pathetic I know, but such is the fate of a temp worker AND beggars can’t be chosers so catch you guys later tomorrow!!!

One of the many issues that many teens these days face is drug abuse. It’s bad enough that their hormones are raging and they have to face so many ‘roller coaster’ rides where their emotions and physical changes are happening. Drug abuse is just the thing that they don’t need to help them down that dark alley.
Although many teens have taken the wrong step and ended up with the wrong company, which ultimately leads to teen drug abuse, there is always a solution and a way to overcome this mistake.
Echo Malibu is a premier treatment program specially designed for adolescents. Nestled between the majestic mountains of Santa Monica and the great Pacific Ocean, it provides the perfect place for healing those scars. The private, serene and safe environment would definitely benefit those seeking for a positive change. The surroundings have been development to provide an ambience that is beneficial for meditation and quiet reflection.
Echo Malibu is not there only to help and support the teens but also their families where they will be empowered with the knowledge, skills and support system required to reclaim their lives back and to start anew.

It’s Australia Day today and the whole of Australia is celebrating this joyous occasion.
Australia Day is Australia’s official national day, 26 January. It commemorates the landing of the First Fleet in Sydney Cove on that day in 1788. Just a bit of history I snitched off my good ol’ pal, Wikipedia. Another big thing which happened was The Big Day Out which happened yesterday. The Big Day Out (BDO) is an annual music festival that tours Australia and New Zealand. As of 2006, it features 8 stages accommodating popular contemporary rock music, electronic music, mainstream international acts and local acts. One of the groups there is called Sick Puppies. And it all started out when Juan Mann started this thingy down in Sydney, the city where he was holding out a card saying “Free Hugs” and he was doing exactly that. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whose sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives. But after he ran into some trouble with the authorities, he got signatures instead of hugs and he got 10,000 signatures and hugs in total!! Pretty awesome. The song is great and it’s called ‘All The Same’ and I totally love it!
Anyways, Ted and I are off to Parramatta Park to catch some action. The weather looks good and promising without the sun to burn off a few layers of my skin so I’m happy. Hopefully, I’ll come back with loads of pictures to share with you. See ya later!!
After the event :
Ted and I got back about 2pm just now. The park was not really that packed but certain spots had more people than others. Not surprised there - kiddy rides and the BBQ place was crowded whilst the armoury and sheep shearing hardly had any people! :ermm:
On the whole I thought that it was a nice day out and thank goodness for such a cooperative weather. Although the sun was out, there was breeze off and on and even a stray cloud too. So it wasn’t that bad. If I wasn’t complaining, I’m sure the rest found it bearable too. I managed to take a few snapshot of this and that but what really disappointed me was the fact that there was no animal petting section. Although the Zoomobile from Taronga Zoo was there, they didn’t allow anyone to hold the animals. They brought so few with them, I was thoroughly disappointed. They had a large python, an echidna, a Gang Gang cuckatoo, a stick insect of some sort, a tree frog, a lizard and a tortoise. And most of them were in their glass boxes. The only one on the ground was the echidna and the ranger was holding the snake while everyone else was only allowed to stroke the snake. How boring!
The other thing that caught my attention was the doggie race that was going on. Omg, it was so funny and hilarious! They had all sorts of dogs there - from the smallest which I think is a Maltese to the [almost] huge ones like Dalmatians and those really tough looking mongrel like dogs. And all of them were so excited about the race. It was relay with 4 dogs on each team. Each dogs had to race across the field, jump across railings, fetch a ball then run back. Then the following dog would do the same. The huger dogs moved so slowly while the smaller ones were like bullets out of a shotgun!! So fast….and the owners - omg, I think they were more hysterical and excited then the dogs! You had to be there to have seen it. I took a clip of it and will try to upload it tonight. Hopefully it turns out ok.
