OMFG!!! It was so damn hot on Sunday!!! I can’t believe it but it touched 41 degrees and even though I have a fan, it was blowing out hot air at me which was no good at all!!
Even sleeping in the buff didn’t help!!!! May, you are one VERY lucky girl to be coming out past summer. Then again, the weather’s been crazy lately and summer did start late here so you may be coming just in time to experience the heat!! Hahaha…. I so bad, kan? I shall not suffer experience this alone.
It was so bad that night that I woke up at least twice during the night, walked about because I just didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t switch the fan on because Ted can’t sleep with the buzzing noise and even with the window wide opened, no breeze was coming in. I have no idea how ted slept right through it. He didn’t even realise I was up and about walking around aimlessly trying to cool myself down. I even woke up to drink some cold water, not as if it help. I wished we could install air conditioning but being a rented place I think we can’t put holes in the walls and wouldn’t want to waste money setting things up only to take them down later when we get our own place.
But thinking back, aiyo…..my side of the bed was still damn from sweat yesterday and I would have given anything to have air conditioning Sunday night. I was walking from room to room, not knowing why I was doing it or if it was helping. I felt like so restless like kucing nak beranak [Like a cat which is about to give birth, they get very restless and walk around to find that perfect spot to birth their kittens]. It was awful….weather man says that the weather should cool down during the week and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that but looking at the weather yesterday and today - WAAAaaaaaa!!!
Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad last night and I did manage to get some sleep. Phew!
, I am free and safe to go home in March and back to Sydney in June. I know it’s going to be a long time away but this would be the best time for me to travel because after this, what with Kecik and all, travelling is going to be a quite a hassle. Think big bag with baby stuff and cranky baby - ugly sight I tells ya!
One thing that I’m so excited about is that I’ll be able to stuff my face with all the food I’ve been missing tremendously ever since I left Kulim!!!! Among the many is nasi lemak, ikan bakar [grilled fish with spicy sauce], Mum’s cooking, char kuay teow with kerang [friedrice noodle with cockels], belacan [scrimp paste], nasi kandar, thosai, chappati, kuay teow th’ng [soupy rice noodles], and TEH TARIK!!!! Wah, thinking about this is making me hungry liow…..
Then the other thing is that Mum and Sis will be following me back to Sydney in June! YAY!!! I don’t think Sis will stay as long as Mum because of Uni and all but seeing as how close I would be then, Mum may stay till Kecik comes along. I doubt I’ll be working then, being all so buncit and waddling around like a beached whale so I’ll be home and can keep Mum and Sis company. :smug: I like that idea. That’s why I’m so excited!!!
On the other hand, I am also a little upset because Ted won’t be around with me while I’m in Kulim and most likely miss the moment when Kecik starts kicking however, Kecik will still be kicking when I come home so that’s not a problem I guess. We’ll see how it goes. Till then, I’m high on just the thought of going home!! YAY!!!
Now doesn’t that sound good to you? Sure does to me and like any business, you get how much you put it. Not sure if you noticed [of course you did!!], but my previous post was a sponsored post. Whaddaya know? Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you haven’t thought of anything to get your loved one(s) yet, better start putting on your thinking caps!
I’ve got heaps for ideas for you and it’s got loads of goodies especially for Valentine’s Day. But don’t let the website fool you. Although it’s called beerliquors.com, they’ve got everything from liquers to balloons and bears, perfume to seduce you and lingerie to tantalise your sight! Might even get you doing things you never knew you could. :smug: Or if you’re the ever classic lover, they even have jewellery to melt your lady’s heart.
Something which caught my attention was the Kama Sutra Chocolate Body Paints - now, I’m pretty sure with this little baby, the artist in me would definitely emerge!! So be sure to check it out…..I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.
And I can’t go for her concert!!!!!! WAAAAaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! :crying: :crying:
I was so excited to find out sometime last year that Pink was having a concert here in Sydney and I was so looking forward to going to her concert. In fact I had planned to, in February when she comes or was it in May - can’t remember, but the thing is I REALLY wanted to go for it. And just a few minutes ago, after the advert on telly, I suddenly realise that it was not possible be it in February OR in May!!! WAAAAaaaaaa!!! Not only that I can’t even go clubbing or to any loud place.
The sacrifices one has to make when in the buncit condition. What to do? Loud noises irritates the baby and it is not good. That I understand but, aiyo……kesian me only! I remember how I was so excited to be going home in December [as planned] and how I was all ready to go partying with my friends to SS [Slippery Senoritas] which is my fav club in Penang. I was also looking forward to go to KL and see some friends and bloggers too. Everything didn’t happen then but I hope that in March, at least the blogger meet would be possible.
Note : I’ll be in KL at the end of March so keep a day for me and hopefully we can meet up some place. I wish I could get Lil’ May’s help to get a few bloggers together for a meet but she would already be in Sydney by then so no chance of that lar. Anyone want to help organise something small in KL for me? *hint hint*
Ted and I went to watch this yesterday. I’ve been waiting very partiently for this movie ever since I heard that Mel was busy with his next movie after The Passion of Christ [which I have watched too]. I would count the days till it finally arrived and we marched over to the cinema to catch the 3.10pm show. The movie lasted 138 minutes and a well worth 138 minutes it was!
Now, to be begin with….I personally felt that the ending was somewhat cliche and is a rather common ending but the major difference is the setting and environment of the movie. The location, so to speak. The directing was good [Go Mel!!] but what captivated me was the location….it was superb!!! Although the stars in this movie are not well known, I think they did a great job, even Seven [Dahlia Fernandez] who was acting for the first time and what a huge project she took upon herself! Good job dear….
Overall, it’s about how a man whose village is ravaged and how he survives all odds to return to his village to save the ones he loves. Sounds like a typical knight in shining armour who saves the damsel in distress at the end of the day, and it is. But the difference is, the movie is MA15+. It is barbaric. It is violent. It is bloody. It’s my kinda movie. I do not suggest it for the weak of heart, although it is not as violent as Saw 3. So, don’t worry. It has its funny and wickedly obscene moments and you must watch it on big screen.
I know you can easily get a copy from Uncle Ho and unless you got a big screen at home, it would not be the same. I’m not sure how much of it will be censored by the censorship board in Malaysia but I think many scenes may be cut out and that is such a pity coz those are the essence of the movie. I was telling Ted after the movie yesterday how I think Malaysia is going to screen it : The film will just show the forest with the background script being read as the scantily clad men and women walk around and when the icky bits happen, everything would go slow-mo of a scene from somewhere in the beginning of the show [ie kids playing or men fighting] and suddenly, you’re at a different location and the storyline has taken a major twist, and you’re left dropped-jaw wondering what the heck just happened. I can just see it now…..aiyo, so sad lar!
However, if some of you have already seen it, please let me know how well my prediction was or if I was totally wrong and the censorship board actually allowed more than I thought. Which I doubt….in any case, lemme know.
