Best cell phone deals in town

The ownership of mobile phones these days has become a must. Even the older generation can now be spotted holding on to some sort of mobile phone, be it the latest on or those large enough to kill a dog. Either way, almost everyone [both young and old] has one. It has become a necessity. But what makes it so easily affordable is the package that these phones come in. They are so attractive and really impressive that you just cannot say no – especially if they are free cell phones!

Wirefly is the Internet’s #1 online retailer of cell phones and wireless plans which helps you find the most suitable phone package for you. They have the latest models and ones that you just can’t resist. When I first reached Australia and got my own phone, it was ‘new’ and that was just about 6 months ago and now, I can’t even locate it on the list. The trends and models just keep coming out and they get better and better over time!

On top of offering you a wide range of attractive mobile phones, they also have ringtones and accessories that make the service plans more attractive and affordable by various well known carriers. Each service plan can be catered to suit your need ie. Whether you talk more on your phone or prefer texting your family and friends. I personally prefer calling up rather than texting because sometimes, it takes far too long for me to type out what I want to say. And by the time I’m done, they text sounds like a jumbled up message would in the end would require me to call them back anyway, so why the hassle right?

Another good thing about Wirefly is that they cater for ‘everyone’ in the society. They have plans for individuals, a family plan and of course the prepaid plan. With all these services rendered by Wirefly, all you need to do now is to decide what you want and let Wirefly handle the rest for you! The keywords here are : Unbeatable prices, free shipping and a satisfaction guarantee.

I’ve been wanting to share this poem with you for a long time now but never got around to doing it. But today, I’ve been feeling lovey-dovey and thought that now would be the best time. This is my favourite that Ted gave me about 2 months ago. He has this sweet habit of buying me cards every now and then and THIS is my favourite. I stand it on my side of the bedside table.

To the one person I consider to by my SOUL MATE
I am so glad that you are a part of my life.
It is a privilege - to know you,
To share myself with with, and to walk together on the paths that take us in so may beautiful directions.

I had heard of “SOUL MATES” before,
but I never knew such a person could exist-until I met you…

Somehow, out of all the twists and turns our lives could have taken, and out of all the chances we might have missed, it almost seems like we were given a meant-to-be moment to meet, to get to know one another, and to set the stage for a special togetherness.

When I am with you, I know that I am in the presence of someone who makes my life more complete than I ever dreamed it could be. I turn to you for trust, and you give it openly. I look to you for inspiration, for answers, and for encouragement, and not only do you never let me soen you lifet my spirits up and take my thoughts to places where my troubles seem so much further away and my joys feel like they’re going to stay in my life forever.

I hope you’ll stay forever, too. I feel like you’re my soul mate. And I want you to know that my world is reassured by you, my tomorrows need to have you near, so many of my smiles depend on you, and my heart is so thankful that you’re here. - Carey Martin

Here’s how you can save money

Funny how most of my post by PPP are all about money. It’s either about how to make money or how to save it - either way, it’s all good. Now, I know many of us, including myself of course, spend money unnescessarily on items that we know [or may not realise at that point] would not be of any use to us, and thus, we end up spending more than we should.

I, myself, try to practice as much restraint as possible when I’m out shopping and thanks to Ted, I’ve learn a few more tips as well. Let me share with you what I use to get me through moments when I feel like just splurging when I know I can’t :

  1. Always make a shopping list before you go out shopping so that you don’t end up buying things on the spur of the moment. I normally make a list of things I’m going to cook and then buy my veggies and meat so that I don’t end up wasting anything.
  2. Buy items which are on special/reduced price [but beware of the expiry dates or you'll be on the losing end!] or on sale. These items, if are really cheap, buy extra because you don’t really lose out.
  3. When faced with the decision of purchasing an item based on a ‘want’ and not a ‘need’, ask yourself 3 times if you really have to have it and whether it would be of any use to you. Normally, after asking yourself the 3rd time, you’ll end up not wanting to buy it because you know for a fact that you don’t really have to have it.
  4. Make full use of those discount coupons if you have any [see my previous PPP post] because you can’t go wrong there!
  5. If you’re thinking of going on a holiday, why not surf the net for some special online packages? They are normally cheaper compared to calling up the hotel for reservations or just walking in.
  6. Last but not least, if you’re already in debt, make sure you do your research and find the type of loan where the interest rates are low and the length of term where you are able to repayment and not get into more debt. Not only that, credit cards can either break you or help you, so compare credit cards wisely so that you end up signing up with a bank/company whose terms and conditions you are happy with. I know I nearly signed up with a bank whose terms were so attractive that I nearly missed out the fine prints!! :pinch:
  7. Insurance - these are good for protection but how often do you end up realising too late that you got into the wrong insurance policy? The only option you have is to shop around and find out as much as you can about the policies that interest you before actually sign up. This is simply because you don’t want to be wasting hundreds of dollars on expensive policies only to realise that some other company is offering the same policy at a much lower rate! That would suck big time….and hurt your pocket as well.

As tough as it sound, it really isn’t that hard to save. All you need is getting used to it and you’re on your way to a more stable financial situation.

I know I don’t have to because I’m not Chinese BUT I do have some Chinese blood running in me and I did receive ang pows when I was young so I guess I am also expected to return the favour lar. But…..phew! Escaped this year….

Anyway, this post is specially to all my blog readers who celebrate this very joyous and auspicious occasion. Hope you enjoy yourself safely. Don’t drink and drive. Don’t play crackers coz gomen said kenot and make sure you play mahjong discreetly coz I heard mahjong also banned this year. Siao lar.…really!! :pinch: Anyways, enjoy your celebrations and to those who don’t celebrate this festive season, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Review my post, pwease?

Everyone wants to make money. After all, money makes the world go round whether you like it or not. And there were many a times that I’ve heard, ‘Money don’t come easy’. Now, times have changed and although it is still not easy to make money, many methods have been shared and THIS is yet another method worth looking into especially if you’re a blogger. *grin*

Review My Post [an example can be seen in my previous post] is a new program by Pay Per Post which can really help generate blog traffic. :w00t: [That's the key word eh?]

This program is open to all bloggers and is great for bloggers who aren’t interested in doing sponsored posts. Bloggers can simply add this badge at the end of their post and easily earn money and build traffic with no additional effort. - Pay Per Post on Review My Post program

So as you can see, you get to earn money by simply doing what you enjoy doing - blogging! And not just blogging, but blogging about posts that attract your attention and then you get a post of your own too. :w00t: It’s a chain reaction and certainly a win-win situation, eh? Tempted to start your little ball of money rolling? Then why not blog about my previous post? *hint hint*

And after you’ve done that, why not just click on the PPP on my sidebar and join me too? *BIG hint*

Bitter sweet memory

Wanted to share this point of view on Valentine’s Day [VD] but somehow I got distracted and forgot to write about this. Many people take VD serious and go out of the way to prove their love or impressed a potential partner. Surprisingly, [and I think I've mentioned it before], VD brings back rather bitter memories for me and at this point, I’ve reached the bitter sweet stage.

In 1995, VD was on a Wednesday and we [my family and I] had planned to go out to dinner together but sadly, my Dad suffered a brain aneurysm and was hospitalised for the next one and a half months before he passed away on 18th March 2006. As you can see, every VD, this is what I remember and I feel sad that I can’t seem to let that go because it kinds of dampen my spirits and pretty much spoils VD for me. And I know it’s unfair especially to Ted because he is such a romantic at heart and so thoughtful that I’m pretty sure that he may have wanted to do something nice but I just wasn’t in the right mood.

Our VD was simple and nice because we spent it at home. I’m so glad he didn’t get me flowers! Those things costs a bomb and really, I appreciate it more when he gives me flowers on other days coz it shows that he doesn’t need VD to buy me flowers and that means a hell of a lot more. After all, everyday should be VD right?

Frankly speaking, before I got married and was in several relationships [none of which worked out obviously], every VD was an uneventful one, except the first. Trust me to end up dating the wrong kind of men, thank goodness I finally met the right one and married him! Wasn’t going to let a good one swim away you know? And even then, VD was blant to me. It was the same ol’ thing - flowers [which came late in the night] and one ex-bf even thought that it was too late for us to have supper together and decided to go have supper with someone else instead!! [Not mentioning the gender here, but I think you know which one]. That was a classic one and one which I will never forget.

I also remember my single days when there was no bf in my life and I really enjoyed those days. Especially if you’ve had to handle and deal with problem relationships and nutty/insanely jealous bfs, you really learn to appreciate the freedom and time that you have all to yourself. And it was during this time that me and my gfs would get together and go have dinner some place nice. And when they got married and moved away, it was always me and Mum - we still do that when I was back home. Not only on VD but whenever I felt like going some place nice, I’d take her. We normally go to Pizza Hut or anywhere that she likes coz I eat everything under the sun. Heh.

Now, I have to admit that I didn’t really get Ted anything fancy but instead I got him a rather thoughtful card and it had all the right words in there. He, on the other hand, loves to buy me stuff and he got me everything that I love! He bought me cheesy biscuits coz I’m crazy over cheese and he also got me a packet of sea monkeys because I’ve been wanting to get some for a long time now and can’t seem to find it. But miraculously, he managed to get some!! SO happy me! And he also bought a chocolate shaped heart and placed it on my pillow. Aiyoo…..so romantic lar my hubby.  What happened after that, have to censor lar, sorry hor!

Overall, it was a great day and I felt that it was well spent. Only thing I have to work on is to get myself in check and try to overcome this little memory problem that keeps coming back to haunt me. *sigh* I guess only time will heal this wound, eh?
