I love shopping - to a certain extend and more so if there are discounts. After all, if I can save a few cents - why not? Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve come to make full use of coupons so as to get the best deals around town. You’ll be surprise how much you can save on things you want and don’t need to feel guilty about it. It’s a win-win situation, both parties get something out of it all.
Coupons are either placed in your postbox or you can get them online like Coupon Chief. You can get all sorts of discount coupons that it will send you into a frenzy! My particular favourite coupons are mostly related to books , travel and food. You can’t go wrong with either of these choices. Oh, and if you’re IT savvy, I’m sure Dell Home discount products would certainly whet your appetite to shop for even more techie gadgets!
One book related merchant caught my eye - Better Homes and Gardens, a great home decor magazine. If I’m not mistaken, there’s a TV show here in Australia and it’s all about how to decorate your home, inside and out. It also features all sorts of recipes almost anyone can whip up and I’ve certain got a few ideas for my home’s interior decor from this magazine.
It’s won’t take long for you to find what you want and all it takes is just a few clicks and a printed coupon and before you know it, you’ll be having fun either reading a magazine or a book you got, packing up to go on that much awaited holiday or simply dining out in style with your family and friends; all you need now is to get them coupons!
Pppstt…..I’ve save quite a bit on dry cleaning by getting my discount coupons online too!!

**Instruction**
Write a post, and copy and paste my list from below into it. Make sure the links are active and correct. If your blog is on that list, remove it because your post isn’t about self-promotion. Don’t worry, because if your name is on mine, it’s on others and will spread. Add your favourite deserving blogs to the top of the list (not compulsory). Publish the post. People will notice the incoming links, and hopefully write their own z-list posts. The result will be that we all get more links pointing to our blogs, and more readers - got to be good!
Key Points
1) Create a new post on your blog.
2) Copy and Paste the entire list of blog links below
3) Add any blogs that you want to include near the top of the list. (Optional)
4) Include the blog where you first got the list from, on the list in your post.
5) Do not include your own blog links on the list in your post.
6) Make sure that all links are copied intact.

Wah……this movie is BEST!!! If it’s showing, please go and watch it. :w00t:
Anything that’s got to do with Hannibal Lector - I like. However, I haven’t finished collecting the series of DVDs yet. Currently I only have Red Dragon and Silence Of The Lambs. I have yet to get Hannibal and Hannibal Rising. But fear not, I shall complete my collection soon. Uncle Ho, here I comeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Now, back to the review. In short, this movie is goes back into Hannibal Lector childhood and how he lost his family. His sister, Mischa is SO cute!!!! *geram mau cubit pipi nyer* It goes on to record how he becomes a monster [by doing what he does best] and what makes him the way he is. It is violent but not too bad - sadistic would be the best world to describe our dear Hannibal. I simply love his character! I wish I could tell you more but that would give the story away. The best thing to do is, go catch the movie itself.
Caspard Ulleil play the young Hannibal Lector
Aiyo, so handsome and dark and creepy all rolled into one!! *drool*
Read here for the spoiler.

I seem to have so much to talk about my office. There seem to be a never ending list of topics I could write about! So bad kan? Anyway, this one is not about bad things, it’s about a good thing - eating healthy.
In my state of health, eating healthy is my #1 priority and should be my main focus too. At one point, I thought that I was eating healthy what with the fruit juices, fruits, veggies as much as I can get, lean meat and the occasional obsession to stuff my face with a double quarter pounder, which may I add, is not often. This was what I thought was healthy. But was I dead wrong! At least now I know how wrong I am and how far I am from eating healthy. Just look at my staff….
My typical lunch is normally a sandwich from home made from multi-grain bread which I used to abhor but have grown to like with tuna, or egg, or if MIL gives us any roast meat, that would be it as well. I normally leave out the veggies coz I don’t like soggy bread. Sometimes [nowadays quite a number of times], I take meat pies to work. Garlo’s Pies to be exact because they are so good!! My current fav is the chilli beef pie and the beef bacon with cheese. Mamamia!!! So mouth-watering lar….:w00t: Other times, I take rice and some food that I cooked the night before and heat them up in the microwave before eating. So all in all, I thought that it was all good until I saw what these people at work were eating. Made me feel so quilty lar…..so malufying wei. :pinch:
Here’s a list of items I’ve seen them eat :
- A huge bowl of green salad with a small tin of smoked salmon [Leafy veggies, tomatoes, cucumber and Lord knows what else] and a fruit
- Plain white rice and a small tin of tuna and 2 fruits
- A vegetable wrap from the canteen and a fruit
- 2 slices of bread with ham and cheese, follow by a few crackers
- A huge bowl of plums and necterines [I counted at least 10] for morning break
- 5 low fat rye crisps with butter and Vegemite [Also for morning break]
- Rice crackers with some spread and a fruit
- 2 slices of wholemeal bread with a huge serving of veggies and a few slices of salmon
And here I am eating all these foods I bring and hardly any fruit!! Goes to show how different our cultures are and they are SO particular about calories. Omg….I felt and still feel so guilty. Everything they have is with fruit. I thought to myself, maybe I should try it too but I just can’t. What I have been doing is having a bar of muesli for morning break but even then, it doesn’t really hold up till lunch. By 12.30noon, I’m already starving and lunch time is at 1.30pm.
Aiyooo…..maybe I should eat more fruits for morning break eh?

Noticed how easy it is to obtain the material things you desire and quench every one of your whims and fancy by just a swipe of your card? Or how easy it is to purchase something online by just providing your credit card information? If only we didn’t have to pay these monies back, life would be a peach. Sadly, because of the very high use of credit cards and the cycle that normally spins way out of control because people don’t have control of their finances, many are sucked into
credit card debts. These are the kind of debts many can certainly live without. With SecureLoanConsolidation.comX, they provide various management systems ie.
Credit Card Debt/Credit Card Debt Management and
Credit Card Debt Consolidation, which not only help you exercise constraint but also help you manage your finances, before they spiral out of control.
If you’re already in debt, their tools, financial tips and expert advice will help put you back in control of your finances and help you get out of debt. I never found myself in any serious debt while I was having my credit card. But what I found tough was having to control myself when I was out shopping and I had to make sure that I only took the card out if I needed it desperately. ‘Desperately’ here means that if I didn’t have enough cash. But other than that, the only time I ever used the card was when I purchased petrol. That was the main reason why I got the card in the first place as it saved me time from popping into the cashier to pay them, so having a card made life easy for me.
On the hindsight, it hurt financially when the time came to pay every month. I realised how draining it was on my finances and I hardly had any savings left by the end of the month. Thankfully, when I moved, I got rid of my card – I only had one card and even then I struggled to say afloat. I wonder how people can have so many cards and be proud of it too!
The one I learned from having a credit card is, you must have control and know when to say ‘No’. You need to constantly remind yourself that this is not money that you have unlike a Debit Card, this is money that you owe, hence a Credit Card. That way, hopefully, your psychology will play a role in keeping you in check.

So far, the 2 weeks at work have been good. I hardly have any complains simply because my supervisor and I get along very well. Surprisingly, whenever we are free, we end up chatting about almost everything under the sun. It’s good to note that your superiors are able to communicate to you and that they have no airs about them. This is what I like about working here in Australia, at least thus far. I have also heard horror stories from Metria which really made me scared and worried about working here in the first place but *touch wood* all has been going well with me. My supervisor is from Fiji and he is a 40+ Indian Muslim man. While I find him easy to get along with, he doesn’t really have the patience to explain things to the students when they do something that is not right. I think he’s been in the college for far to long and have seen enough to know that most of the time, it’s the students fault when something goes wrong and thus, he isn’t bothered about it and most of the time, sends them off without really solving their ‘problems’.
I’ve been here 2 weeks now and I guess the staff here are getting used to seeing me but because most of them are of the matured age, I just can’t find anything in common to talk about. They are either talking about their children’s marriage, what’s on sale at the grocers or gossipping away which I totally abhor! So most of the time, I just sit quietly eating my lunch/snack while they chatter away. Of course by sitting there, I hear all the gossip and it’s amazing how many of them there are 2 headed snakes!! Aiyo…..scary lar. Not that I want to talk bad but hearing it from other people is one thing but being there and witnessing it happen is just *speechless*. It just goes to show how careful you need to be when you’re around such people. Sometimes I feel that you can be the quietest person around and the next thing you know, you’re label as the snob - just because you keep to yourself. Somehow, I feel that that’s what I’m going to be labelled as coz that’s just me. I’m quiet and I keep to myself most of the time because my office is apart from everyone else and there’s only my supervisor and me at the cashiers. And that is why we are so pal-ly.
Needless to say, I think the staff in general is slowly warming up to me and I feel more ‘brave’ to talk to them although not much. I still have nothing much to say and I felt really stupid this morning asking this lady what fruit she was having coz I bet she thought I must have been a dumbo for not knowing what fruit she was eating and it turned out to be something I’ve never seen nor heard of - sweet plum. It looks like an oversized grape and yet, it’s called a plum. Bizarre. In any case, I learnt something new although I must have looked really stupid asking her that!
