Have you ever went to an auction before to bid for something? Be it on eBay [Do they even have it in there?] or perhaps bid for a house or a really nice painting? Me, I’ve never done it in my life but just imagine what it would b like if I bid for something, say a 1.5 Liter 16 valve in-line 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-I) technology for [let's get really ridiculous here] $100 and I win it because I was the lowest bidder? Wow, I would want each and every one of you to pinch me so that I know I wasn’t dreaming!!! Like most auctions, the norm is that the highest bidder get the prize but not for bid4prizes.
Bid4prizes has a unique and attractive twist to it - it’s the lowest bidder who wins the prize! Perhaps I should check this site out to see if there’s a brand new laptop I could bid for….and if I get it, then Sis would have a brand new laptop and I wouldn’t need to fork out any $$….YAY!!!

pelf : well, bidding is something like how much u are willing to offer to obtain something lor. but the norm is the prize is normally sold to the person who offers the HIGHEST price money. but in this case, if you are the lowest bidder, then u will get what ever it is that u bid for lor. in other words, the lower u bid, the higher your chances of getting the price! :smug: this is MY understanding lar.

Actually, THAT’s where the confusion starts. What if I place a bid of 1 cent (considering this is the lowest they allow), and there are 2 other people who also placed a bid of the same amount. So who wins?

pelf : i didnt really read through the T&C but i’m sure there is a floor value n u cant go lower than that. also, there could be other pre-requisites as well. only way to find out is to join la! :hehe:
