Some of my Malaysian friends told me that they seem to be having some problems trying to withdraw money from their PayPal account since a lot of them have become super rich from joining PPP [You too can join us so click on the huge PPP green button on my side bar and sign up, ya? *hint hint*], so when I read this at Cindy’s blog - she mentioned some VMI card, I did some searching and found that Hong Kiat has managed to overcome this here problem.
So if you’re having problems, why not check out his post about withdrawing from PayPal for Malaysians? I’m sure many of you will benefit from it.

wuching : at the moment, no lar….but i got a scare when they said that an email was sent out saying that those with paypal must have US bank account to withdraw the money. lucky it was an email glitch. :whew:

The switching is not done yet, will do this Friday or Saturday, depending on when Edrei is free.

The big problem we have now is not withdrawing the money out but is we can’t even accept PPP or other payments that are coming in unless we have a US account. Sigh… It’s almost a week already and they haven’t solve the problem. So slow… According to Paypal, they have this technical glitches that causes us cannot accept payment that coming in and they are in the process of solving it but it’s taking a bit too long already and I’m so worry now.

It’s no joke. PayPal did a bo-bo the other time..and forced pple to have USD acct before accepting funds. That was retracted after FTC intervention.
And if you still need a USD Acct, without having to fork out withdrawal fees etc, Etrade with the Visa Card is the complete solution. Forms and info available FOC on my site.
