How to cover up a scar

With another scar and make it look beautiful…..

Gorgeous scarification

But no pain, no gain….

Picture taken from one of my fav sites - Modblog which can be found on my side bar. Loverly…..

Now, now…..even though I love body art, I have not reached this stage of extreme yet. Then again, I’ve seen more than extreme so this is not something new to me. But if it’s going to turn out THAT beautiful…..then scarification isn’t so bad eh?

And you can’t possibly say that this isn’t a beautiful scar ok? Because then you’d be lying through your teeth!! Heh.

Lunchless in TAFE

The one time I decided to have lunch in TAFE canteen was the one time they had to shut early. So today, Kecik and I will have to be lunch-less.

Good thing I brought an extra All-Bran Baked bar of Sultana and Cinnamon! O, and my small tin of Milo too. This is just SO extreme for me even compared to my dieting days. Thank goodness it’s only for today. Heck, I might even decide to go home early!! Who would have thought that the canteen would close so early…..2pm is a good time but not 1pm lar…..pity me.

Yesterday was a knockout day for me. I worked from 9.30am right up till 8.30pm - yes, good OT but was a little tired. Not as tired as I expected myself to be. Maybe because enrollment was a lot less crowded so I got to sit down more frequently and supervise my ‘juniors’. Hehehe…..like mandor only! :smug:

I also had a good night’s sleep as it was nice and warm. Nope, Ted was having one of his overnight shifts so I was hope alone - must have been the weather, I guess. All in all, everythings good EXCEPT that…

I’m lunchless.

Not a happy camper

Been fighting some personal demons today and I hate the feeling. I would like to blame my pregnancy hormones or perhaps even the weather but I think that’s not really the reason. I’m just sometimes afraid that those demons might just get out of control and then I’m finished.

Today is just not one of those good days and to think that I start work tomorrow - 10am to 7pm. Bah! This is not a good start.

A special shoutout

I’ve been having some problems lately with the PC. My partition doesn’t seem to want to connect to the Internet so I’ve gone to using Ted’s partition where most of my stuff ain’t there. Hence, I’ve been blog-hopping a little bit more, if you’ve noticed. I’ve left my prints all over your blog at one go. I’m surprised I’ve not been classified as SPAM yet! *lol*

Anyway, while I ‘try’ to solve this problem, the blog hopping has done me some good as I’ve managed to catch up on new updates and what nots and that was when I suddenly realised that 2 particular bloggers, from my personal observation, have really come a long way. These 2 bloggers have been on my list like, since forever….and have been at my blog many times too. I dare say that they are indeed my *ahem* readers. So I dedicate this post to them :

1. LB who’s living the life in Italy

I knew LB’s blog long before he had this A-Z long list of comments. At that time, he was using Blogspot and hardly had any comments at all. He was a newbie then and so was I. If I’m not mistaken, 5xMom introduced him on her blog and that’s how I got addicted to reading his blog. I think he’s been doing a fantastic job at maining the contents of his blog. He really puts in the effort as you can see from all the graphics he includes and of course, the thing that gets my drool factory into overdrive is his food pix! The man’s got a passion for food and he ain’t shy to show it to the world. From having less than 10 comments per post, his comments now average at LEAST 30. So kudos to you, LB! *huggies huggies*

2. Pelf the turtle Savior

This sweet little thing has been around for some time now. And boy, has her blog grown from a simple personal blog to ‘Save the turles’ blog, and she’s got a separate blog for the cuties too. I like the way she’s described her blog - Grad student trying to save the turtles. And the environment. And humankind. Very nicely said, I bet the hardest to save is mankind though! But I applaud her for her efforts because it is her passion and she really gives her all too. Pelf’s been writing for a long time which is why her blog is such a pleasure to read because she writes well. And so I was not surprised when she was recently awarded a SOB [Successful and Outstanding Blogger] title by Liz Strauss. What were you people thinking arr? Pelf also happens to be my Postcrossing friend although I think she’s been out of it recently, not too sure though.  She’s been reading a lot of good blogs about how to improve one’s blogging and it was here that I too, managed to get a few more other blogs to stalk to improve myself as well. Keep up the good work, girl….you know you’ve done well. *more huggies, more huggies*

This is not meant to be a tag nor some praising session, but I personally feel that it’s a nice and positive action to affirm people when you know they’ve done a good job so if you feel that you’ve got a blog or 2 you’d like to share about and their development since they’ve started blogging, please leave me the site. I would love to check it out myself.

If I had to get a wig…

I had a really WEIRD and bizarre dream last night. [Really, jokes aside.] I dreamt that I went and got myself a new and radical look. I’m pretty sure Ted would not have been amused at all but yes, I went all and got myself a Daniel [the Gallivanter], shiny and all that glow. And then I got myself a wig. This wig that I so happily wore about was an Aftro hairstyle one…you know, ala Alleycats? WHY I got such a wig and was parading around so proudly about it, I don’t know but what I don’t understand was….why the heck didn’t I just get one of those celebrity wigs??

Don’t you just love to see how Beyonce has those really tight curls one moment and then have those to-die-for flowy straight hair that you just wished you could feel for a few seconds? Well, I wished I had that kind of hair and perhaps I should actually try on a wig of a different hairstyle just to see how I look like and just to make Teddy boy happy, maybe get hair extension done too. Hehehe….after all, we all want realistic hairpieces IF you[re going to wear one right? And this here site is a good place to start looking for celebrity style lace front remi hair wigs. And the best part is, the genuine Remy Indian Hair wig can be dyed to match my hair color too!! Now, that’s SO going to look natural!!

**This is a sponsored post but the dream is REAL**

I wasn’t alone…

Turns out that Ted didn’t have to have his sleepover shift last night so he came home, but a wee bit late. I don’t mind him coming home late. It was so nice to see another human after almost the whole day [ok, maybe half the day], all by myself.

Today, he left for his morning shift and will be home in about an hours time so that’s not too bad. I certainly feel the loss of Sis’ presence in the house coz the one signature thing about her is her voice. Her laughter is SO loud, the neighbours actually know when she’s back for the holidays so you can imagine how quiet my unit is now! Not only that, I’ve also lost the mood to cook or do anything coz no kawan. I know, I must sound so desperate and sad and pathetic. Actually, I am..but I’ll overcome it la. Just a short phase so please bear with all my whining and self pity. Sometimes I wonder how people who live on their own ie. LB and May actually cook for themselves.

Perhaps it’s because I don’t have the fiery passion for cooking like they do coz omg, have you seen some of their posts???? Both of them can cook up a tsunami, dun play-play, ok? The dishes they can whip up can guarantee a major drooling session and the best part is, they cook for themselves. Me…..humph, sometimes I’m that lazy that I just eat those instant pour-hot- water, wait-3-minutes and it’s chow time! But today, I was a little bit diligent and cooked up a meal enough for my lunch and dinner. I had a craving for something hot and spicy and smelly. *grin* So I cooked ladies finger with chilli and belacan. It’s one of my favourite dishes and although it’s nothing like what Mum whips up at home, I’m happy that I can taste the belacan. Made some scramble eggs too but my style lar. I chopped up a tomato and some mushrooms then fried with butter. I know it sounds totally whack but  I wanted something else other than ladies finger plus, one dish seems so kesian [pitiful]. Now, I’ve run out of my vegetables ration so I have to make my way out tomorrow to that little Chinese kedai runcit [grocery] nearby and get some greens. AND I need some meat too….I am, after all, a  carnivour.

I have a load of chicken wings and some chops MIL gave me last week but I feel like hot and spicy stuff. I’ve always liked it and it will certainly do my sniffles and keep me warm in this blardy weather. No thanks to the weather and my condition, my sniffles are simply hanging on. I’ve been taking lots of orange juice and eating as much fruit as I can because I refuse to take any meds. Trying to go au naturel….that would be best. So here’s to me getting some good stuff tomorrow and maybe I’ll cook me some soup too….

Ted can’t get over the fact that most of our credit card expenditure is mainly from Coles and Woolworths [these are hypermarkets where I do my food shopping]. Well, baby…..no one said that feeding me was an easy task!! *grins happily*
