Moview Review : Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Posted on 2007 under Movie Review |31 Jul
I watched this a week after it opened and I think Ted was more excited than I was! *lol* Don’t worry, I won’t give it away if you haven’t caught it yet.

I personally thought that after I watched this, I came to the conclusion that if you’ve watched ONE Harry Potter movies, you’ve seen them all. Of course, it’s got it’s moments here and there but over all, eehh…..was ok la. *ducking all the rotten eggs being thrown at me from Harry Potter fans* I know it was inevitable but it was so sad to note that Harry has lost his boyish looks. He’s a MAN now….haiz. I liked him more when he was a youngun’…..and I bet lots of old ladies would have lost it for him too!!! *lol* Funny how old ladies almost faint at his feet and can actually fall in love with this kuchi-brat. O well….I can say whatever about it, but if you’re already planning to watch it, go la. It’s really not as bad as I say it is.

And as for the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book from J. K. Rowling….I’ve been told that it has a slow start BUT it gets very exciting as it nears the end. I won’t want to be a spoil sport and tell you the ending although I haven’t read it yet. In fact, I haven’t read a single HP book at all!! Ted bought the latest one because he couldn’t wait for the softcover. He had ordered it actually and really woke up early that morning to join the queue to collect his book! That man is sometimes so unpredictable….anyway, he was the one who told me this. In any case, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the book if you’ve kept track of it. I might have to start from Book 1 though.
A question to all Harry Potter fans : How do you feel now that J. K. Rowling has ended her writings about Harry Potter? Or do you think she might come up with something….impossible about HP?

Yvy, I don’t like Harry Potter either. My sister said the books are very good. She read the 1st book and she’s now hooked. She bought the entire series.

wahhh…all above are not Harry Potter fans…
I haven’t seen the “Order of the Phoenix” yet (maybe in a couple weeks when the hype has died down and not so crowded). Ryan and I did do a Harry Potter movie marathon last weekend for the last 4 movies…not really a good idea but it was fun!

consuela : hahaha….how right u are! i’m surprised no HP fan has come to his defend…bizarre. ted & i watched the previous one just to get back on track before checking out HP5.
MBC : hehehe…looks like not many ppl are in HP eh? very surprising leh….
dawn : not surprised there dawn. books are normally better coz they are more in detail n some parts just cant be captured in film. even HP5 doesnt really contain ALL that was written in the book. a lot was cut out as ted told me.
wuching : eh….henry bottom? u sure u got the right character ka? but s’ok la, u remain faithful to star wars enough already la!
che-cheh : somehow i realise that u are not the only one eh?
