I’ve never been a fan of mob movies but The Godfather starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino has changed my mindset forever. When Ted got the Godfather Trilogy the other day, I was not amused. In fact, I was not happy coz I knew I wouldn’t like it - it was not my type of genre. And despite knowing I hate mob movies, he sat me down and we watched it. Yup, he forced me to. But I didn’t finish watching it the other day. Watched about 1/2 way through then I just finished the other half yesterday and I must say that I’m so looking forward to watching the other 2 DVDs.
I never expected that I would actually enjoy it. I think it was a good movie with the right amount of violence [if you call killing everyone who is against the family ok], had a touch of romance here and there, and of course….a whole lot of the Don. Gosh, I absolutely love the character and it’s really one in a million! Marlon Brando did a SUPERB job creating this immortal character. That voice….. that senget Stalone look and up-turned mouth - CLASSIC!
If you haven’t watched it - I totally recommend it.
On a side note….ever wondered how much your dead body would cost if you sold it to science? I have and here’s the answer…took this from JoeC’s blog.

I remember vaguely that my father and brother watched this movie at home once.. but I remember CLEARLY of that handsome Marlon Brando! LOL

Plus it had De Niro in it [the trilogy that is. He plays Brando when he was younger].

I love this movie. I remember watching it when I was 11+. Right away I fell in love with this mafia thingy with the Brando and Pacino. Another reason why I like this show so much is because of all the shootings and killings. Yeah, guess I’m sick but I enjoy watching these types of movies.
