I still find it all still too surreal. I can’t believe that Ted and I now have a little baby of our own. We have a FAMILY. It normally strikes us when either of us are carrying Arianna and looking down at her while she sleeps. For me, it’s like I’m in a world of my own when I’m feeding her.
It’s amazing how I can just sit and stare at her while she sleeps. I bet she finds that extremely disturbing, then again, I think babies were built to take all the staring, poking and prodding while they sleep coz truth be known, I’m constantly staring at her and touching her all the time. It’s a wonder she can actually sleep through it!
I remember hollering out at Ted the other day while he was surfing and I was feeding Arianna while watching CSI, I said, ‘Baby…..we have a baby.’ And even as I said that, I felt as if I was dreaming….it’s really very bizarre when all of a sudden, you have this small bundle of cute-ness which can turn to a top-notch screaming and pooping machine in your hands in mere seconds. To be frank, it can be quite distressing really.
But I’ve come to realise that there’s nothing I would change about it….

Awww…the closest I can relate to all this is when I watch my Smokey sleep. I can stare at him all day. Like there is no car in the world. And I suppose this is the closest to motherhood that I will ever get to feel. Heh.

ya, same here though now i longed for the moment she would cuddle again, she is too busy now and always want to squirm. we get cuddles only during night time cause she loves loves to cuddle into us at night…

aida : I know! just late last night when ted was putting her to bed [he was rocking her in his arms] and she was enjoying it, he said that these times will past so fast that it wont be long that she wont want us near her and believe u me, i was a teary eyed!!!
