What’s life like these days?

Wahlau…..

I just realised that I haven’t updated my blog in ages and it’s just a miracle that I can actually find the time to sit my bum down to jot this down. All this is possible because….

  1. Ted’s not using the PC

  2. Mum’s not using the PC

  3. Arianna is still asleep

Sadly, this will have to be a super short post coz Ted just informed me that the cheeky vegemite is stirring…..aiks!!! Time for this milk bar to get going….I salute all moms who are able to handle babies and blog and lead a ‘normal’ life. Heck, I’m simply miles away from being just that at this point in time!! *sigh*

We’ve gotten the BEST 1st wedding anniversary gift ever!

Meet Arianna Michaela Petch, born 12/8/2007, weighing 2.381kgs at 9.39pm.

Yes, we are the fans of NRL’s Parramatta Eels. :)

More pictures at Kecik’s Arianna’s blog if you wanna check it out.

I’ve not known many who have travelled to Dubai for holidays but I do know that BJ has been there on a business trip. But I don’t think I would turn down an offer to pick one of those Dubai package holidays that you can easily search for on HolidayHypermarket. I think it would be quite an experience too. Plus I can meet up with an old IRC pal, Saleh! :)

With the all inclusive holiday where convenience and cheap are the keywords, why wouldn’t you want to go on a holiday? The fare normally includes flight tickets, accomodation, food and drinks, in a nutshell, one payment for everything. Sometimes, the deal also includes entertainment and well, that’s just a big bonus, don’t you think? So if you’re thinking of going on a holiday anytime soon, why not check out this site? I’m sure you’ll find that perfect holiday spot!

Keeping fingers crossed!

After going through a rather upsetting and disappointing period when I was informed that my purchased for a DVD which I had been looking forward to getting was refunded due to out of stock issues [who would have thought that a DVD on extreme body modification was so sought after when there are so many people who have no interest in it!!], I’m over-the-moon-ly happy to say that I found another source who has confirmed my new purchase and if all goes well [fingers n toes crossed], I should have this DVD in my hand by mid September!!!

Yes! Yes! My ‘Modify : The Movie’ is finally in stock again!! YAYNESS!!! But it’s going to be re-release [I think] on 28/8/2007 and I’ve pre-ordered it!! So excited lar…can’t wait! Can’t wait!

CAN’T WAIT!!!!!! *giggling hysterically like a school girl*

O, what a wonderful birthday present!!! I’m so happy for me. Heh. :D

What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was just starting college and Ooooo…..I finally found out what it was like to be asleep during the day while the rest of the world was wide awake!

What were you doing 1 year ago?
Going crazy and experiencing helluva pressure preparing for our wedding!!

Five snacks you enjoy
McD’s fries [at any time, any day], asam [preserved fruits preferably the slightly sweeter kinds], slices of cheese….yea, those individually wrapped ones…aiyo, I don’t really snack la.

Five songs that you know all the lyrics to
NegaraKu [like Zona and many other Malaysians, I hope], Our Father [yes, my soul needs redemption] and….eh, I can’t sing for nuts really.

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire
Travel the world with my family, get a nice house, set up a proper charity, and dump the rest in the bank if there’s any left, which I doubt….after all, if got balance, I could just live on the interest ma….

Five bad habits
Amongst the many….biting my fingernails, picking my acne prone skin, have the tendency to constantly remind people [particularly Ted] about something or rather which normally drives them up the wall, procrastinating and planning things far too early - which isn’t always good all the time.

Five things you like doing
I have a life other than spending most of it with Ted so I really appreciate a bit of ‘my’ time where I go shopping alone at my own pace and see and buy what I want, I like listening to 2CH which is a radio channel with all the oldies….[it drives Ted nuts!], actually…I don’t really have anything in specific that I like doing - I just do what I want to do, when I want to do it. And everything has a season for me! :P

Five things you would never wear again
Definitely carrot cut jeans!!!*bluergh!* Stud earrings, getting another navel piercing [3 times lucky but luck ran out after the 3rd time I tried - bah!], any heels more than 2.5inches high - I value the health of my back and I’d hate to get bunions like Naomi Campbell [Have you seen the SIZE of those things??? EEeee.....yuck!] and most probably 3/4 pants/jeans coz I have matchstick legs/calves but porkchop thighs - not really a sight for sore eyes really.

Five favourite toys
My sampan paddle, fluffy cuffs, camera, …uuhhmm, I don’t really have toys la. :P

Checking out this loan calculator

Perhaps many of you wouldn’t be aware about this since you’re not in Australia but the interest rates on housing loans here really suck!! It’s getting more and more difficult to even think of ever owning your own place. It’s worst for couples like me and Ted who are really hoping to get our own place soon what with Kecik coming just around the corner but with the hike in the interest rate just this week - is such a blow to us.

Being first home owners, I guess the most important thing that one should consider is what we can afford to put on our mortgage. No point getting some 1/2 million home and then end up having the bank auctioning our home off! With this loan calculator which I tried, I found that I could see in advance what our repayment amount would be based on the number of years we plan to take up this loan. It’s really easy to use, just key in some numbers and watch it calculate your loan repayment for you.

In fact, I think anyone who’s thinking of purchasing their own property should try this out coz then you will know where you stand financially when it comes to repayments. You don’t want to have any default and ruin your credit check - trust me, that’s the worst thing that could ever happen to you!
