The grass is always green on my side.

Time out

Ever felt suffocated? Displaced? Lost and just don’t know what to do even though life’s a peach? Well, in my humble opinion, that just means you need some personal time out. I know this because it happens to me every now and then.

Surprisingly when this happens, I just take a walk to the shopping complex, do a little bit of self indulging, have a coffee, walk about a bit and once I feel rejuvenated, I head back home fresh and ready to face the world again. It may not be the same for you but anything that brings a smile back to your face is something you should do feel alive again.

Despite not being a shopperholic, retail theraphy seems to work for me and I like to do it alone, all by myself so that I can see and check out what I want at my own pace and just get what I want to get without needing another opnion.

Sometime you just don’t need another opinion be it good or bad. More often than not, second opinions are normally not true only because the other person is just trying to protect your feelings, so why bother getting a second opinion? Might as well get what you want and if it turns out that it makes you look like a potato, then hey, you can deal with it and blame it on yourself. No regrets there…but if you got the item because someone said it was nice and turns out otherwise, o boy….wouldn’t you just LOVE to kick him/her in the bum?

In the beginning Ted would follow me around shopping but now I realise that I prefer to go shopping on my own. I like my personal time and space and just because we’re married, doesn’t mean we can’t have our own space. I’m glad that we’re both ok with spending time out on our own. After all, we all need it….

I’m like you, I head to the shopping malls too when I need a time out from my hubby! Good thing is hubby don’t mind me shopping coz he does not like malls at all. When I’m done at the mall and head home, I feel I have accomplished something big.
