I never knew that such a thing existed until some time ago when I saw the poster on the ladies toilet door at Westfield, which is a huge shopping complex. I always thought that cancer was something you can’t prevent but obviously I was wrong.
The Oz government was giving free vaccination for cervical cancer to women/girls aged from 12 to 26 years of age and I have missed it! I will certainly look into this and talk to my GP about this the next time I go in to see him for Ella’s 4th month vaccinations as well. If I can get it done, then hurray!! It would be more protection and prevention on my part since I’ve already gone for a PAP smear. One can never be too careful when it comes to the big C.
I don’t know if they have this vaccination in Malaysia as well but if they do, then I would suggest that all women who are sexually active to please go and get this vaccination. I assume and hope that you’ve already been getting your annual PAP smear done as well because any woman who is sexually active SHOULD be getting a PAP smear done. I know that some might feel that it’s rather invasive, trust me…this procedure is so fast, you wouldn’t even know it happened! And for goodness sake, throw aside your shy-shy and malu-malu, annual PAP smears can help detect any abnormalities early and give you a fighting chance of surviving cervical cancer if you have it.
I’m no gambling addict and I wouldn’t encourage you to gamble compulsively either but I do believe that a little bit of risk taking every now and then is perfectly fine. In fact, I think it’s a pretty darn good idea to risk it once in a while! I must say that despite not being a fan of gambling, those rare times that I have gamble, it has always been in a casino, as in real life. I have never tried gambling online but from what I’ve seen and heard, it might be quite fun and pretty exciting too.
One must always bear in mind that providing security information online is dangerous hence, security is important and before one indulges in online gambling, I think it’s only right to research and find out what the top best online casinos are. With online casino bluebook, you can read reviews of users who have used these online casinos site.
With this free online guide, I’m sure you can decide which online casino site would suit you the best because as mentioned earlier, these sites are reviewed by experienced online gamblers. With that in mind, please be sure to set a limit for yourself when it comes to gambling, I know how addictive it is especially when you’re winning! Anyway, check it out and have fun….
Today is most probably one of those days which I got high on food. I wont’ and can’t deny that I love food and I’ve been missing Malaysian cuisine since Mum went home so you can imagine my glee when Ted and I found a Malaysian food stall which was within walking distance from home!
We went shopping today and decided to have lunch outside. While looking around the foodcourt at Brand Smart’s lower level floor, I noticed that Oriental Tucker Box had all the stuff I love to eat! Amongst what I saw was char hor fun, wan tan mee, char koey teow, nasi lemak and laksa. They even had the gula melaka and sago dessert there!!! Wah…..just imagine how excited I was…..I quickly ordered the nasi lemak and Ted had his usual laksa. I must say that for a moment there, I felt as if I was home. I found a little bit of home in the most unlikely place - so close to home and I never noticed it. I must say that the 2 dishes we tried today is 90% as good as home which is super fantastic by my standards so far. Ted enjoyed his laksa too…the prawns were HUGE like those we had in Kuching.
I took a couple of picture but since I was in a hurry to tuck in, the photos didn’t quite turn out! lol But who cares??? As long as I am happy, Ted will be happy too. Can’t wait to go back there again, I don’t know what to eat next leh…coz they also have economy rice!!! Sure go botak from all this picking and choosing and deciding…..o, I was also told that they sell nyonya kuih as well but the lady who makes them has gone on holidays so I’ll wait for her to come back then I’ll stuff my face! Hehehehe…..
My nasi lemak which has chicken curry, beef rendang, half an egg, peanuts, sambal ikan bilis, cucumber and some prawny thing - belacan and dried shrimps kot….
I forgot to take the picture of laksa so this is one messed up one. lol Both of us couldn’t wait to tuck in so….this is what I get la.
Woohoooo!!!! When I saw this, I just had to try it. You see, I’ve been keeping this look I have for ages and frankly, for as long as I can remember. Despite having ‘long, beautiful and wavy’ hair, as I’ve been told, I’ve kept my locks well hidden by tying my hair up in a bun as you can see in most of my photos. Either that or my hair is tied up half way or clipped in a horse tail.
The thing is, it’s not that I don’t like to leave my hair down. I don’t mind if it weren’t so frizzy and puffed up the way it is and I hate it when it flies into my hair and into my mouth. I feel so uncomfortable and so uneasy. I don’t know how is it that other people who have longer hair than mine don’t do that to them. I’ve got wild and unruly hair I guess - hence, Ted’s wild, Borneo woman.
So what I have do is that I decided that the very least I could do is give myself a virtual makeover and see what I look like in a hairdo I will most likely never ever wear in reality. I’ve pretty given myself a full on makeover as you will see from hairstyle to make up to those snake eyes. I think over all, it ain’t ALL that bad and I think this site is really fun to play with if you want to see what you look like in hairdos you never dreamt of trying, ever! Hope you have fun…I know I did!
My cousin is getting married in December. Being family [I guess], I got his invitation today. Although a little surprise since I am here and will definitely won’t be attending his wedding, I was touched and truly appreciative that he took the time to send the card to me. And with any wedding invitation, there was an RSVP card attached to it. Obviously, this means that I have to reply, no matter what - technically anyway. And despite the fact that I’m quite sure he knew we wouldn’t be coming, I think it’s just plain courtesy and the right thing to do if I reply him. And so I got a card for him just now.
See, this is what I always do whether or not I would be attending a function be it a wedding or party because that is how it should be. If you’re wondering what RSVP stand for, it is “Répondez s’il-vous-plaît” or “Réservez s’il-vous-plaît”, a French phrase that translates to “Please respond”. It’s a simple and straight forward request and yet, I can bet you my last cent that a majority of people never bother to do so. This is through personal experience and based on that comparison, my fellow Malaysians really suck at RSVP-ing. Seriously.
I really wonder what’s so hard in replying to the host about whether or not you will be attending his/her function. If the host was good enough and made the effort to invite you, the least you, as a guest, could do is to state whether or not you are able to attend. A simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ would be more than sufficient. I would rather get a decline reply than none at all because that would give me the opportunity to extend the invite to another or more importantly, to plan so that the percentage of wastage at the end could be lessen. But alas, this perfect case scenario where every RSVP is replied, is merely a dream. It’s very upsetting really especially when it’s a wedding invitation because Chinese course dinners are not cheap and to have half a table empty is truly a heartache.
My Mum has the habit of giving an ang-pow or red money packet whether or not she is attending the function simply because she was given an invite in the first place. Me, I’m not that generous la…..if I’m attending a function, an angpow is definitely a must otherwise, I don’t really bother la. But I have never, ever, not replied as RSVP because I know what it feels like being on the other side plus, it’s just plain courtesy. Not replying to me is just wrong!
So what is it with women and getting a Brazilian wax done?? Talk about PAIN!!! I know that it’s practically nothing compared to getting a tattoo but oh my gosh…..when I watched the Brazilian Waxing Video, all that came to mind was, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH!!! The good thing is, the pain is just for awhile, so I guess it’s not THAT bad.
It never once crossed my mind to ever get one but I do sometimes think about how it’s done but now that I’ve seen it - well, it’s ok, I guess. But all I need is to sum up enough courage to actually sit through one. You ever had one done? What did you think about it?
Here’s a video but before you check out the video, a word of warning…this is an actual waxing and may contain images of graphic nature. But it’s an instructional one so you know exactly what happens during each session.
