All you need is a signature

I used to work in the bank hence I knew what it was like to have a checking account. Before coming over to Sydney, I never had a checking account before because I never thought it would be so handy.

Every financial business has it’s perks when it comes to checking accounts and if I had one which gave me free checks, free check safekeeping and free wire transters, I’ll be right there standing in line to set up my account. But sadly, the checking account that I current have is not that good. I’ve come to realise that my checkbook has become quite handy to me since we pay our rent with checks and I buy most of my stuff using a check instead using my cards especially if it’s an online thing unless I totally have no choice because the paranoid part of me is still afraid of ID theft and what nots. So yes….if you don’t have a checking account, I think you should go get one. :)

Las Vegas, here I come!!

Aaahh…when I hear those words ‘Las Vegas’ or ‘LA’, the first thing that comes to mind is CASINOS!!! And lots and lots of them to choose from. I’ve never step foot in the US but if I ever did, a trip to LA is certainly a must.

I’m just totally facinated by how big this industry is in LA and it would be a shame and a pity if I didn’t join in the fun but of course nothing is going to happen if I don’t get some good and afforable accomodation! Things must be pretty expensive in such an attractive place, eh? The best would be to check out some Las Vegas hotel reservations so that I can get the best and most affordable package to suit me so that I can spend more in the casino!!

It’s a stinker!!

Omg…..I really cannot tahan already!!! I feel like jumping into a pool but we don’t have one!! Such a stinker of a day today….can die lor!!  :ah:

I feel so sweaty and I can feel the sweat just dripping, and dripping and dripping….and it’s expected to be like this tomorrow as well. Aiyooo…..how I wish we had air conditioning!!! Even that air cooler we have, although does help a wee bit, I would do anything for AC right now! Can’t wait till we move out of here and get the air conditioning up at our new unit. Really beh tahan!!! And my poor Ella….right, now she is sleeping telanjang in front of the window in the hope that some wind might blow by. Haiz….my poor, poor, nakkid baby!! And poor, poor, poor me too….I’m melting away!

Lovely lights

If you didn’t know, we’ve finally purchased our very own unit and I just can’t wait to move it!! :D Nothing beats having your very own home to decorate as you please and in whatever design that we like. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time and now, it’s not long anymore.

One of the decors that really interest me is lighting. We have a pretty huge balcony which can easily be fitted with a BBQ set and a small table with chairs but it would be nice if the lighting wasn’t there if we were to have a BBQ in the evenings. So we are currently looking into getting some exterior lighting that will suit nicely. With so many designs to choose from, it’s going to be quite exciting to see what we both can agree on. :)

Oh so lovey-dovey!

It’s that time of the year again! Yes….Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. In fact, it’s barely 2 weeks away so if you haven’t thought of what to get for your loved one[s], you best get to it. ;)

I think most of us would agree that valentines day gifts are not easy to buy or decide on because we all want to get the perfect gift which shows how much we love that other person. That other person who completes us, who not necessarily have to be your partner or husband or wife. It could be your best friend or even a family member  hence the feeling of wanting the best for them. So all the best hunting for that perfect gift -I know it won’t be easy but something is better than nothing. :)

Did you know….[9]

  • that the gastric juices of a snake can digest bones and teeth, but not fur or hair?

  • that flounders swim sideways?

  • that the human can, given enough time to adjust, see almost as well as an owl’s?

  • that the rush of air produced by a cough can approach 1000km an hour?

  • that the greyhounds eyesight is the best of any breed of dog?

  • that swimming a quarter of a kilometre is almost equal to running 1km?

  • that your brain is more active sleeping than it is watching TV? [Now you have a very good reason to tell your mum/dad that you want to stay in bed the whole day, kids!]

  • that Barbie is 25cm tall?
