New furniture for a new home

It’s so close at hand that I can almost smell it! Yes, the date of our moving house is fast approaching and I am just so excited about it. Ted has been busy organizing a lot of things and I’m just thrilled that I can at last buy some brand new furniture that will suit to our taste and liking.

I’m really looking forward to get a furniture catalog which is help with choosing the style, material and set that will suit our new unit best. And to make matters even better is that at Boyles, the winter/spring 2008 edition has many pieces of furniture at discounted prices! *grins* What more could the simple ol’ me ask for?? :) I better be off to get browsing if I want Ted to help me decide as well!

The birthday get-starter

I personally think that organizing a birthday party is a nightmare! In fact, I think it’s worst when you’re a parent because if you’re like me, I’m clueless as where to start and what to do.

I guess the first thing that has to be done besides writing down the guests list is to prepare the birthday invitations and being me, I’ll be lost at words and cracking my head if I were to come up with my own card. Thank goodness we live in an era where help is always near at hand in the form of online help. At ThePartyStartsHere.com, all sorts of invitation cards and announcements, amongst others are available to us poor helpless parents. I think it would certainly be a  small block off my shoulder!

Homeward bound!!

Yay, tomorrow this time, we will be on the way to the air port!! :)

Yup, our flight takes off for KL at about 12.20pm so please pray that there are no delays what with Arianna in tow. Because I’m such a procastinator, I’m now in this frenzy trying to pack as much as possible for both our shift to the new place and my travel bag! See la, gatai sembang with Sis and laughing my guts out with tears streaming down my face until everything took a backseat.

Anyway, taking another short hiatus and should be writing from Kulim soon. :) Miss me!!

Sis is in the house!

Yay!! So nice to have more company since Sis arrived here on Friday. :) I really miss having company besides Arianna when Ted’s at work and well, let’s just say that sometimes, because there is just SO much to talk about, whatever it is that she wants to tell me about takes hours because before she can tell me that said story, she gets distracted and diverts to another connected story! *lol* Really funny….

Another thing is that she is really loud so if she’s telling a joke, she gets over excited and starts laughing before hand. Although I don’t know what the joke is, because she laughs funny, I laugh at her! It’s so crazy funny coz then she starts laughing at me and omg, we both end up with tears streaming down our cheeks and a baby looking at us quizzically wondering why she is seeing double [Sis supposedly looks exactly like me but I really don't see it] and worst still, a pair of loonies at that. Gawd - people will think we are high on drugs or something la. :D

No plans at the moment, we are just hanging out at home and catching up with news. Sis is bonding with the little one and things are going great. :) Now I just can’t wait to go back to Malaysia! :P

Ps. I must also add that it’s great to have a maid another pair of hands to help with cooking and carrying up the shopping. :P

Photo Hunt : Party

Photo Hunter Badge

I love parties because all the hustle and bustle that it creates as well as the whole idea of having fun. The theme for this week is ‘party’ and I’ve got the perfect pictures for it because it happens to be my favourite party as well - in 2 different takes.  :D

This was my bridal ‘party’ in front of the church we got married in. We had just walked out after the wedding mass.

And this is the dinner reception that night - see, everyone’s having a blast!    I know I did. Anyway, I’m trying to find out what this ‘train’ is called - is there a specific name for it?

Bonus :

A bunch of wild rainbow lorikeets having a party on our balcony. :)

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it and that the weekend has been a great one!  :P
