You are beautiful….to me

Another one of those themes from Photo Hunter that’s going to bring out SO many ideas!! :) ‘Beautiful’ is the theme this week and I am kind of cheating this week because I have used this photo before for Photo Hunter. And it’s only because I couldn’t really find something that REALLY meant ‘beautiful’ to me except this.

Daddy and his brand new baby girl asleep. Both apparently more tired than Mommy! *lol*

Ok, I lied about not being able to find something else to share. :D I didn’t want to take up too much space and add in any more photos than I should so I made a collage of some flowers that can be found in my mum’s garden. She absolutely loves orchids. [Only the lily in the middle isn't ours - it was one of the first few shots I took with my new camera! :P]

Hope you enjoyed that - happy weekend and to all Malaysians, Happy Merdeka Day!!

Gergaji 5

Alamak, I haven’t even watched Saw 4 yet and before I knew it…

Saw 5 is out already!!! *pengsan*

I’m amazed how these people can just keep on going on and on and on, just like the Enegizer battery la! *lol* Really have to find the time to rent the DVD but I think it’s not out yet though which is a bummer….

Sky high credit limits

Although I am not a big fan of credit cards, I must admit that they do come in handy when you suddenly realise that you do not have enough cash on you to pay for your shopping at the counter! I personally have experience such things and I can’t explain how relieved I was to know that at least I had my credit cards on me, or it would have been so embarassing.

We don’t own any high limit credit card because we don’t really spend that much and I guess the more you have, then the more you will be tempted to use it. That said, I would have to admit that these cards would definitely suit those people who travel alot on business trips. Those kind of trips are never cheap.

We are all aware of how important insurance is in our daily living. Not only will it be very helpful to have when an accident occurs but it certainly gives you peace of mind as well. But it’s not always easy to find the right one of you because one needs to ensure that the insurance premium that you sign up to is something that you can afford to pay and not default in any way.

I guess the best way to search for term life insurance quotes is to do it online and at Wholesaleinsurance.net. By getting the quote in advance, you will know what you’re signing up for and if you can afford it.

I may be an animal lover but I am totally anal about letting birds fly into our kitchen. It so happens that there are these wild rainbow lorikeets who drop by a couple of times a day on a daily basis waiting to be fed. Being the bird nut in the family, Ted always makes sure that there is food there for them, be it some apples or sunflower seeds. In fact, he also makes sure that I feed them too. But sometimes, I get fedup because #1. they are very demanding and if you’re slowly in getting their food, they can ’scold’ you ie chirp VERY loudly and start tapping at the window which I normally leave little open for ventilation. #2. They make a big mess on the ledge when eating apples because they are messy and more than half of the apples drops off anyway. So whoever who parks underneath our window may get bits of apple every now and then. And I personally feel bad about it. In fact, I would be pissed if I saw bits of apple on my car!! I’d totally freak out. Hence I prefer to just give them the seeds.

But noooooo…..Ted says they must have a mixed diet. *rolls eyes* Anyway, one day, I was at the PC doing my thing when I heard wings flapping nearby. I thought I was hearing things so I walked towards where the sound was coming from which happened to be the kitchen and lo, behold…..

There was a bird on my fridge.

I went totally ballistic because I didn’t what to do first!! I wasn’t sure if I should shoo it out first or take a picture or what! Plus with Arianna in the way wondering why Mummy was jumping up and down, talking to herself like a mad woman wasn’t really helping. I knew I had to take a picture first for Ted but I was so afraid that it would fly into the hall and then I’d be screwed coz I wouldn’t know how to get it out then. So I quickly took a few shots and then lured it out with birdseed. It’s mate was waiting patiently outside the window, looking in and watching all the commotion. Aiyoo…..I could have BBQ-ed them for lunch la!

The other incident was a home invasion while Arianna and I were taking a nap one afternoon. I normally leave the cut apple just inside the window so apparently these birds are quite used to having things their way. I did hear something crash but couldn’t be bothered to get up and check it out. So when we did awake from our slumber, I was totally shocked to see that they had not only eaten the apple but had also pushed down the stuff that I left standing above the sink!!! Too much right…..but Ted thought it was very funny.

Not.

Lord only knows what is going to happen next time. I have to make it a habit not to leave my window open too big, otherwise they can squeeze themselves in! Cacat animals…..

Pretty ugly and wrinkly

I was 99% sure that I would be sitting this theme out until I saw what could fit this weeks PH theme, wrinkled quite nicely. :) It’s really amazing how on some days when you think you’d have to sit it out and then all of a sudden something pops up for you to snap!

I love those days.

Anyway, I could have chose to snap a shot of my wrinkled hands but nah, I think this is a better and less embarrasing photo! *lol*

Looks pretty ugly [Heh!] to me and this is actually the first time I’ve ever seen such a wrinkly condition happening to a balloon. This balloon is one amongst the many I blew for Arianna’s birthday BBQ on 9/8/2008. Yes, they are all still around although looking deflated. I don’t know what to do with them!

Hope you enjoyed that - have a blessed weekend.
