I recently attended a gathering to meet up with other mothers who are planning to join a local playgroup in our housing area. Being new to the area made me feel a little intimidated and shy as well since I didn’t know anyone there. But after awhile, everyone warmed up to each other and things weren’t so bad.
It was a short meeting of the mothers but it was long enough that some of the babies were getting restless so we broke the meeting up and we were all given promotional pens as souvenirs. I think I’ll be attending more of these meetings and hope they give out umbrellas next time!
