Do you have a special email set aside for official purposes like job applications or college enrolments? If you do, good on ya! If you don’t, now is the best time to get a proper email with proper username for the said purpose. Why? Simply because – this coming from experience working as an office admin, what email you use will potray how you’d like to be treated. At least this it what it speaks to me.

If I had someone walk in the door for a job interview having an email addy like exotic_gem, spanish_dude69, etc….my first impression would not be a good one. And that is the absolute truth! I just feel that they are not taking things seriously if they can’t be bothered to get a proper email for official use. Hence, I myself have a few emails, an official one using my real name and the other few are for my personal use and blogging. I think this is the best way to go about it. At least, the other person won’t be shaking their head as I was doing when I came across there inappropriate emails.

So Lindsay my dear…since you are in the midst of that San Diego job search, remember what I’ve told you and get a new email address, your Lil_Saint won’t cut it!
