Say hello to Misty, a character created with me in mind, of course. If you don’t already know, Ted mods for fun and it is his passion. And since I am the love of his love, I got my own charater in the game. I shall be well known in the rpg world once this mod is release! lol *dancing dancing*
If you’re into RPG and have some time on your hands, I think Ted is looking for people to try out his game. I’m not sure when this will be completed but I have been informed that it won’t be long. So once that is done, he will need all the help he can to look for bugs and fix it. If you are interested, do let me know by leaving me a comment, or you can head on over to Ted’s blog and let him know. He runs tutorials there so if you know RPG modding then I’m sure you’ll know what it’s all about. Me, I’m clueless but over the moon that I’ve got me my own ‘living’ charater in a game.
After going through a rather upsetting and disappointing period when I was informed that my purchased for a DVD which I had been looking forward to getting was refunded due to out of stock issues [who would have thought that a DVD on extreme body modification was so sought after when there are so many people who have no interest in it!!], I’m over-the-moon-ly happy to say that I found another source who has confirmed my new purchase and if all goes well [fingers n toes crossed], I should have this DVD in my hand by mid September!!!
Yes! Yes! My ‘Modify : The Movie’ is finally in stock again!! YAYNESS!!! But it’s going to be re-release [I think] on 28/8/2007 and I’ve pre-ordered it!! So excited lar…can’t wait! Can’t wait!
CAN’T WAIT!!!!!! *giggling hysterically like a school girl*
O, what a wonderful birthday present!!! I’m so happy for me. Heh.
Ever since I got hooked on Miami Ink, which happens to be on everyday on Channel 11, on Astro, I’ve been a big fan of Kat Von D’s art. She’s about the only female tattoo artist who I noticed has really made it big not only in real life but also on telly. Kat’s really good at tattooing black and white designs and especially memorial/tribute tattoos of people. In another words, she can tattoo a pix of someone so real, you’d think it’s a real photo!!
If I had the chance….I would love to get a tattoo from her but sadly, she’s SO famous and busy that her customer list is so long, I’d be near old and gray by the time my turn came!! I read her bio and I’m pretty impress on how quick she caught up with a lot of other experience tattoo artist.
Not only is she talented, the woman’s gorgeous and sexy!! And very, very tattooed….

I’m so not surprised to see her so beautifully ‘decorated’. Jeles I!!
Here are some of my favourite designs which she has done….

Check out the details…..

I absolutely love the Mother Mary tattoos…..*totally gobsmacked*
With another scar and make it look beautiful…..

But no pain, no gain….
Picture taken from one of my fav sites – Modblog which can be found on my side bar. Loverly…..
Now, now…..even though I love body art, I have not reached this stage of extreme yet. Then again, I’ve seen more than extreme so this is not something new to me. But if it’s going to turn out THAT beautiful…..then scarification isn’t so bad eh?
And you can’t possibly say that this isn’t a beautiful scar ok? Because then you’d be lying through your teeth!! Heh.
Tattoos are my passion. I can’t help but love how one can decorate one’s self in such pretty colors and I’m glad that Ted agrees with me although he has no tattoos himself. He actually supports me in getting tattoos but somehow, piercings turn him off. Which, by the way, is a good thing seeing that I’ve kind of lost my interest for piercings anyway, it was merely a passing phase for me.
At the moment, I’ve already got 3 pieces done on my back and since then, I have been mapping out what I want, where. Next in line, would be a lower back piece where I will be getting my future Aussie artist [when I find him/her] to most likely design a piece based on a design I already have done. It will incorporate birth flowers of my loved ones. I hope it will have a feminine touch to it since I want some tribal in there too.
Next, would have to memorial tribute tattoo for my Dad who passed away on 18 March 1995. It’s going to be a picture of his first hand 1972, 1.2 Volkswagen and I’m going to get it done over my heart, on the left side of my chest. I imagine that it’s gonna hurt like hell because of the chest bone but hey, no pain, no gain. I do have other designs and ideas in mind to get inked on me, but I think these 2 are the most important at the moment.
However, it will all have to wait till at least, mid 2008. Bah, that’s an extremely long time but time is all I have. Plus I need to go search for an artist as well, so ain’t all that bad. So if you know of any good and recommended tattoo artist around Parramatta or Sydney – do lemme know.
Would like to share a piece I took from About Tattoos on designing an appropriate memorial tattoo if you’re thinking of getting one :
How to Design an Appropriate Memorial Tribute Tattoo
From Karen Hudson, Your Guide to Tattoos / Body Piercings.
It’s a painful experience when someone close to us passes away, and sometimes we are filled with a desire to do something to memorialize that person. A tattoo is a great way to honor someone whom we have lost, and also relieve our own emotional pain. But choosing the right design for a memorial tattoo can be a lot more difficult than choosing one for personal enjoyment.
My first bit of advice would be to wait until you have given yourself time to grieve and mourn your loved one before you make any decision about getting a tattoo. Making such a permanent decision when your emotions are especially high is not a good idea.
A memorial tattoo should reflect the personality and interests of the person you are memorializing. But it also has to be something that you yourself will be proud to wear on your skin.
Typical memorial symbols like roses, crosses, and ribbons with the birth and death dates of the person can also be included in your design, but by themselves they are not very unique or imaginative.
Think about your loved one as an individual first. Did they have any serious interests or hobbies? What stood out about them as a person? Maybe they rode a motorcycle, collected beanie babies, were into music or had a penchant for cooking. If you can think of something that represents what made them unique, that’s a great place to start. Then start searching for pictures that depict those things.
Now think of how that person affected your life personally, and why they were special to you. If there was something in particular that bonded you together, is there a picture that comes to mind that could be incorporated in the tattoo? If you enjoyed playing pool together, shared a love for crocheting, or liked hanging out at karaoke bars together, these things all conjure up images that could be included in a tattoo design.
Memorializing a Child
There probably isn’t anything more painful than losing a child, no matter what age. If the child was too young to have developed interests or a personality, there may not be any particular images that come to mind. A portrait of the child may be appropriate, as long as it doesn’t cause feelings of sorrow when you see the tattoo. Images of angels, halos and angel wings also tend to be popular for child tattoos.
When You Didn’t Personally Know Them
If you’re getting a memorial tattoo for someone you didn’t really know, like a fallen soldier or something to symbolize the many lives lost in a tragedy, it presents a special challenge. Think about what best depicts that person or the tragedy in a positive light, and a way that would be considered honorable to others who would have been affected by the same situation.
Whatever design you come up with, the final decision is yours since you are the one that has to live with it. But if you’ve taken the time to honor the person aptly, the tattoo should bring fond memories and honor them until you leave this world yourself.
