Our last day there was truly a rest and relax day although Arianna did come down with a fever and cold, no thanks to me. :( I caught the sore throat followed by cold and cough the day before Ted was to fly in and he wasn’t 100% when he came over himself. So we were quite a sick bunch really. ;) But poor Arianna with her stuffed up nose and fever….despite that all, she was excellent and didn’t really whinge or whine a lot. In fact, she is an excellent patient! She was worst the daya before but nothing Aquaria couldn’t cure. Lol So since she was a tad bit better today, we went to the pool for a while. As usual, she created havoc there when it was time to leave. But leave we did, with Arianna screaming into Ted’s ears and KR wondering what the fuss was all about.

After they went to bed, my best friend, Shasha came by and along with Rakesh, I slipped away whiel the kids were asleep for a little Mummy time away with Sha and Rakesh. We went to KLCC to lepak and grab a bite to eat.

Meeting Aunty Shasha (my best friend), the girls (and Ted) were spoilt silly….she bought them so many cupcakes, muffins and cookies!! :P

I love this place and would totally recommend it to anyone who is missing Penang food!!! I can vouch that the tagline is TRUE!

Bored…so bored!

After the kids woke up, we got back to the hotel and hung around until it was time to go for dinner. Shasha and Rakesh wanted to take us to dinner at this seafood place and although it took some time to get there with all the after-hours traffic, the food was SO worth it! It was the first time I ever had prawn cooked in salted yolk batter = it was delish and the ONLY time I really ate that many prawns in my life!! lol And Ted really enjoyed the steam fish…it was truly excellent. :D It was sad to say goodbye to Shasha coz I really miss having her around and we didn’t really have the time to update each other about what’s been going on but I hope to see her soon…

It wasn’t too long ago when this happened and I still remember how my back used to ache like heck when we turned our travelling cot into KR’s permanent cot. Although I was well on my way to recovery after the birth and all, bending over to pick her up multiple times a day didn’t help in my recovery at all. If at all, it may just well made it worst! But thankfully, I have a brilliant husband who thought that it would be an excellent idea to get Mattress Toppers to elevate KR so that i didn’t have to bend over that much and I tell you what – it worked like a miracle! I’m not sure why we didn’t think of getting those Mattress Toppers earlier on but we should have.

It’s just like how we procrastinated getting Arianna one of those memory foam mattresses. When I think back, it’s quite ridiculous really. I mean, the poor thing was sleeping on lumpy mattress for awhile and although she didn’t complain, I knew it was a wee bit uncomfy. Now I feel so bad about it BUT thankfully, we’ve rectified it and the first thing she said when hopped into bed after we put in the new mattress was…..”Aaahhh, that’s better!!” *lol* Cheeky little thing that she is! ;) I’m just glad that she’s having a good nights sleep these days. :)

A happy baby means a happy mummy. :D

Now that our family will be expending come October, space in general has been constantly in my mind. It doesn’t help that my MIL is always asking me about how we’re going to handle certain things especially when my mum flys out here to help me during my confinement especially transportation. After all, although we are planning to change our vehicle, it won’t be anytime soon. But the one thing that we certain plan to look into is getting a new bed but because of this space restriction issue, perhaps we might go with one of se sofa beds instead? At least it’s got 2 functions and will definitely save us some space AND I get a sofa when we don’t need the bed. ;) My BIL (brother in law) did offer his sofa beds to us when he heard that my mum was coming down but since we have not moved Arianna to the ‘big bed’ yet, Mum can still use the guest bed. But once she goes home, we’re moving Arianna into that bed and then get KR to sleep in Arianna’s current cot. That way, both girls will be sleeping together and we’ll have JR with us in our room.

I think while we are at the shop, we might also check out that dining room furniture sale as well. It’s not that we’re planning to get rid of our old set but if the right set with the right price was there, we might just be able to afford it. But I better not tell Ted about *that* part of my plan, we’ll just pop by and have a sticky beak. Heh. ;)

Since we returned home from our long holiday in Malaysia, KR’s new pair of super cute shoes has gone missing. It’s quite common for things to go missing around here but for it to totally disappear into thin air is
simply ridiculous! We’ve searched high and low, in all the nooks and crannies I can think of but nup, apparently we’ve got an imp or some shoe thief in the house whose taken those shoes away. *Gggrrrr….*

Why I’m so upset is because those were a pair of really cute shoes that Mum bought for her and they fit her so beautifully!! We did get her another pair but it’s a tad more boyish so while I’m trying to make her look more girlish since she’s been mistaken for a boy more than once, losing that pair of shoes is no help at all. Perhaps they are small thats why we don’t notice if they got stuck somewhere BUT if she had snow boots….ah, then it wouldn’t just ‘get lost’ so easily right? But I reckon they’d look silly if worn during summer though. *sigh* Back to the search now peeps…..

Would you belive it that in just less than 2 months we’ll be welcoming a new bundle of joy into our lives??? Tis shocking when I think back to the time when we first found about the pregnancy! *lol* I guess the bulk of the time literally zipped past because I spend a chunk of 3 months in Malaysia with Mum and sis. And time truly does fly when you’re having fun.

A quick update on the girls :

Arianna is now 3 years old with a rather wide range of knowledge when it comes to animals but thats what I think coz I have no one else to compare her with. She’s loves singing and catches on to tunes rather quickly. She’s slowly becoming a little diva in that she’s actually quite vain and if I don’t check that, I’ll be having one hell of a drama queen by the time she goes to preschool and that’s just NEXT year!!

KR is now 1 year 5 months old and although a late bloomers in the mobility department, her verbal communication is quite surprising. For most of the time, she understands us quite well and can even tell us quite clearly what she wants. Most surprising is how quick she picks up new words and retains it. She can now count to 10 but missing out a few numbers which I think is quite an achievement!! :)

I took this vid just yesterday and it’s quite clear that she enjoys kissing my belly because it’s “Kiss kiss bebe” for her and love the sound effects too. :) I reckon she’s trying to strike up an alliance with JR so that they can gang up on Arianna when the time comes! *lol* After all, Arianna can be quite the bully IF she wants to.

DUring the last few weeks, KR has progressed a fair bit when it comes to her mobility. She’s been crawling heaps and needless to say, she’s plucked up more courage now and has been spending a fair bit of time scaling the furniture and walls. :P Despite still being a little unstable, I reckon she’s doing great since she’s such a late bloomer in this department.

Check out her scaling skills….I try to encourage her when she slacks or misses a step just so she knows that it’s perfectly alright if she fell down.

Seeing this progress, I’m seeing Ted’s dream of getting a fireplace up getting further and further! *lol* While I love the idea of spending quiet evening by the fire place by candle light, it’s just not possible at this stage of our lives. I think it’s more important for us to have a proper air filters instead since we are both allergic to dust. I might have to remind him about getting those furnace filters that he’s been talking about recently as well. I reckon it’s about time to get the filters running before J-Roc makes his appearance!
