FF : Here & there…

I think I may have posted too many pix last week. Today, I ran out of pix to put up then decided to go dig up some old pix and voila….your weekly FF is up!

Enjoy and have a blessed weekend.

Merry Maker 1950's
The Merry Makers, 1953 - my Grandpa played for this band. He’s the first one on the right. Ask your grandparents - they might know this band if they are from Penang.

Roxy!
Roxy, a great big fierce looking dog with a heart of a putty cat.

O when the saints, go marching in...
The Queen’s Soldiers changing post. This was around the time when the Queen Mother passed away [2002].

Exit31 in the making?
My bau-bau bachang [distant] cousins who are in the up and coming band, Exit31 - Garry [L] & David [R]. Their US Tour starts in September. WOOOHOOO!!! :dancing: [Check out their Sample Music. My fav is Mother Theresa.]

Sydney's Chinese Gardens
Supposedly a masterpiece [I think it is, cant remember coz I took so many shots!] that Mum made me blow up and frame. It’s hanging in our living room.

Lizzie at the Chinese Gardens
Lizzy Lizard who was taking a stroll in Sydney’s Chinese Garden, quite a big fella that I was afraid of going any nearer!

1972 Volkswagen
My Daddy’s 1972 Volkswagon [1200], one owner since the purchase and it’s not for sale ~ so dont bother asking.

Well, hurray! :dancing: Blog is a-ok and as promised, here are a few pix that I’ve made into collages so that I can show you more. As for pix of the 12 Apostles….hehehe, have to wait lar. I still need to actually BLOG about my trip. So when I do that, I’ll put in the gorgeous pix of the 12 [more like 8!] Apostles, okies?

Enjoy.

Bondi Beach
First I did ~ got myself down to BONDI BEACH!

Misc pix
Misc pix of Zam Zam Restaurant (??), Cousin Frederick, cute signboard [maximum perasan!] & the kinda trains I wished we had in Malaysia. *sigh*

On the Great Ocean Road
On the Great Ocean Road! The roads are REALLY winding but I made it. No puking, although someone was feeling sick.

Apollo Bay
Apollo Bay ~ has one of the best fish and chips here.

12 Apostles / Loch Ard Gorge
Loch Ard Gorge, just some 5 minutes away from the Apostles. Breath-taking but I tell you, if the weather was a bit more sunny, these pix would have been a whole lot better!

On the plane....
Some misc pix I took while on the plane. Love that Bourbon n Cola. And that poofed up bag of Cheese Balls really amused me a lot. Dunno why…:hehe: O, and those are snow covered mountain tops as we flew over on the way to Melbourne.

Food, glorious food!
Decided to save you the pain and drooling by putting this at the end coz everytime I put food pix as the first pix, you all say hungry lar…this lar…that lar. So now, I placed it last. These were some of the snapshots I managed to take before I forgot. Most of the time, I would forget and it would be too late to take so these were the ‘lucky’ ones.

Will blog in detail about the trip as soon as I can find some time.

I had to hold some of these pix back otherwise I wouldn’t have anything to post today!! Goes to show that I need take more pix. I keep saying it but damn, I’m not doing it. Someone get me a new camera!! :praying: I’ve got a 1000 and 1 reasons why I want a new camera but the best reason would be : I just want one. Yes, pamper me…please? :battlingeyelashes:

Now, on with the show!

Mexican Mural
This mural was painted by the students from the artsy-fartsy Lim Kok Wing College or watchamalit. Swwweeeet! :applause:

Have you had this before?
Hehehehe…..this is the ONLY margarita glass at the bar and it was used to serve the pretty ladies, especially when they all came in a group. Cheeky fellas!! I was told that the girls normally ending up sucking the tip thinking that it’s ice. I highly doubt that!

Am I drunk? Are you drunk?
Nup, you’r not drunk and neither was I when I took this. :hehe: It’s a chandelier made from the bottles of tequila [I think] and once the pyramid was done, it was turned over [I think]. So crever!! :applause:

Can she hold her drink?
The ONLY dog I know who can bottoms up half a pint of Carlsberg and she still wanted more! Atta girl, JD!! :applause:

O dear!
This I’m throwing in just for fun…but tis a scary situation, non? :nailbiting:

Anyhoo…here’s wishing you all a good weekend and may the best team win WORLD CUP 2006!!! :dancing: By the way, tell me who do you think will be in the finals?

Ok, the last time I put our wedding pictures up, they were blur and grainy. Today, it’s still a bit blur but not grainy. I had to get this scanned too coz the stupid bridal shop wanted to charge me a nuklear bomb of a price for getting OUR pictures on CD. What would he have without US, right?? Arse-void! :grouch: Anyway Lux had also put up some of her pix….my favourite among those she put up, was the last one. So sweet!!!

Have a good weekend peeps! I’m off to KL for the weekend…so no blogging until Tuesday but don’t forget…

KL BLOGGER MEET AT KL SENTRAL ON 2 JULY 2006 ~ 1PM!! :dancing:

I’m not sure who will be there but I will, so if you recognize me or my tattoos, don’t be shy…just come up and say, Hi! Promise I won’t bite…at least, not yet.

FF : Food Tasting

TGIF peeps!! Another weekend gone….how time flies! :nailbiting: Anyways, thank goodness I’ve got a couple of free photohosts coz otherwise, I wouldnt be able to load these pix up for you today. I’ve pretty much exhausted my Flickr accountS. I dont know how come I have so many pictures in the first place! Aiyo….terrible!

BJ reminded me yesterday about my food tasting [or is it suppose to be food TESTING?] and so I thought today would be the best day to tell you guys about it.

The hotel gave us fre food sampling on 15 June 2006. The food turned out quite nice albeit a bit too sour, too sweet and super hot & spicy as you will notice but I think it should be fine on that day. I did however change a few dishes. I’ll let the pix do the talking.

O, by the way, it was meant to be an 8 course sit-down dinner but because I was darn hungry forgot to take a few pix. Haha!! Sorry hor…

The first dish was the Four Seasons : Deep Fried Money Pocket, Jellyfish cooked with mango, Dim Sum and Fried Squid with black sauce. [I think]

SUPER hot & spicy Szechuan Soup, that is! TOO hot & spicy even for me…
Note : No sharks were harmed for this dish because it does not contain shark fins at all!! I’m against it and there is no way in heaven or hell that I would allow that dish to be served at my wedding. Boycott shark’s fin soup ~ it’s just cartilage and has no medicinal values!!

Not a prawn lover but totally love this dish! The prawns were succulent n fresh. The sauce was thick, sour but more sweet than sour. Lovely blend!

Steamed Red Snapper with Fragrant Lemon & Dried Plum ~ Would have been better if it werent too sweet.

Zorpia Photo Sharing: Free Unlimited Storage & Bandwidth
Braised 3 kinds of Mushroom in Garden Green ~ I love mushrooms!! *Looks over at Plinky getting drunkz over blended magik mushroom concoction* But this was too salty.

Fried Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaves

DESSERT!!! My favourite ~ Chilled longan and Sea Coconut

The other one I missed out was the Double Broiled Herbal Chicken.

Since the Hot & Spicy Szechuan soup threw most of us into a coughing fit, I changed that to Crab Meat Soup instead so that those will low tolerance level for spicy food can actually enjoy the soup. I also changed the Red Snapper dish coz it turned out that most of the dishes were either sweet or sour…not a good blend so we chose the deep fried with light soy sauce dish. Simple but would suit better…

Have a good weekend!
