Archives for Movie Review category

Before I commence this review, I would like to know, in you opinion, during my previous movie reviews, have I ever spilt any spoilers that literally spoilt it for you? I hope not…coz here comes another review!!! Lol :P

Despite it being Valentine’s Day yesterday, I was home with my Mum. I know that we had planned to go out for dinner but when Mum wanted to have pizza (I let her choose what she wanted to have), I told her that the spread in the Kulim outlet sux big time and if she wanted we’d have to go to BM (Bukit Mertajam, which is about 15 minutes from home). Then I told her why not wait for my sis to get back from Uni and THEN all of us go for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner and she agreed. So instead, we had roasted chicken, salad and potato bread ~ all of which my Mummy made. I wanted to take some pictures of the scrumptious roasted chicken but I only remembered when we were almost done. Sorry peeps! Lol :P

I actually watched Amityville Horror before dinner. I got back home at about 6pm and since it was still early and we weren’t hungry, I continued watching the movie which I left half way on Monday, and Mum went about sewing her bed-sheets. (Did I ever tell you my Mummy sews most of our clothes? Well, she does and she’s darn good at it too! Sadly, I’m no where near her……couldn’t even sew a pair of shorts right!! Aiyooo…..BUT I can sew buttons and skirt hooks. Lol :D: ) Ok, now on to the review…

Omg!you wouldn’t believe what I had to put myself through to NOT write about this! I had 2 things I wanted to post yesterday and I couldn’t decide which one should be up first. It was such a tough decision ~ my movie review of Saw II or the blogger meet report. Such a tough decision I tell you! But I finally decided and realized that not many people (at least the ones I know) would be too thrilled about my movie review what more when the movie concerned was Saw II. So, the blogger meet report won preference and up it was posted. *Have you checked out the podcast? If not, what are you waiting for?!?!*

And now, on to a more interesting and bloody movie review of Saw II (Thank you Uncle Ho! Thank you Uncle Ho!). If you do not already know by now that my genre of favourite movies to watch mainly circles around blood, gore, and most importantly psychotic serial killers, then here’s telling you that those are the kinds of movie I love and would watch over and over and over again. So far, only 2 other people I know have reviewed this movie that is Consuela & Justin KC Yap. Consuela and I are like long lost movie twin sisters ~ we seem to like the blood & gore. Heh. *Consuela, I cannot find ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ lar. WAaaaaa!!!* And Justin has somehow managed to get his hands on a personalized autograph poster or something, can’t remember what item of Saw II. So unfair!! I oso want!!! Got Saw II magnet or not arr??

Anyways, of all the bloody movies I have seen ever since I got hooked on this particular genre of movies, this was the first time I actually felt a little sick in the pit of my tummy. But not a bad kind of sick ~ just an ‘OMFG!.noooooooooooooo, don’t do that!!!!!’ kinda sick, you know? I also had this ‘OMFG, did he actually do that??’ facial expression plastered on my face ¾ of the movie. Gawd, it was so sickeningly awesome. I gotta watch it again!soon. This review would make more sense if you have already watched Saw (1). Some people thought it was dumb, some people thought it was gruesome and people like me think it was AWESOME!!! Almost to the point of an orgasmic awesome!.ok, ok ~ I’m kidding. *Don’t look at me like that. I do not need to see a doctor, SG!!* Not THAT awesome but it was awesome ok? Bottom line of the story is (and this you should remember) “those who do not appreciate life, do not deserve it.”

In order for me not to spill too much of the movie and spoil it if at all there are some hardcore mates out there who wishes to take on this movie, I would say that it was as good as Saw, only more gruesome and bloody. I love how the director and especially script writer came up with such a twisted plot & storyline which is related and connected to Saw. I mean, I frankly do not think its easy thinking psychotic if you are not. I think it requires a certain amount of intelligence to pull if off while at the same time, making it look real enough to happen in reality.

I believe that we can expect another sequel to this, perhaps Saw III? I hope so. :P *Rubs hand in glee with anticipation* Let the games begin!.O, and don’t forget to play by the rules. ;)
