*A re-post from Arianna’s blog.

When I first came over, I used to listen a lot to the online radio station, Nova969 especially at work. :) Very naughty I know but sometimes, you just need something to keep your eyes peeled. It’s been a long while since I did that but I never forgot what the logo looked like because I thought it was really very cute.

Recently, feeding Arianna has been quite a feat. She needs to hold something or watching something in order for her to finish her meal so one day, I decided to do something very *bad*. Ted’s safety ‘ear muffs’ was lying nearby so I decided to put it on her to see her reaction.

The outcome? PRICELESS.

*rotflmao* So bad kan I? :P But you gotta admit that it’s damn cute right????? :D

Vocation Expo

Yay! Now I can officially say that I *was* there at WYD 2008. Although I missed catching a glimpse at the Pope, at least I attended one event. :) So, yes, I’m glad that we make it through in one piece. Suffice to say that the crowd was overwhelming. I never thought that the option of answering God’s call was that many!! So many booths of various religious orders were there and it was simply mind blowing. I definitely managed to get some postcards and a couple of keychains too. I wish there was more there but obviously the souvenir shop was not located at this area. I have no idea where the shop is located because I never found out so that’s my bad and my loss. But I think I can get these souvenirs post-WYD though - it’s just too massive to be cleared out right after such a huge event.

Anyway, I’m also glad to say that Arianna did very well in that massive crowd. A lot better than I expected although we had her up way pass her bedtime. Poor thing was a mess by the time we started for home. She was quite an attraction as well, getting poked and prodded by total strangers who obviously mean well. We even had a chance to meet up with the priest to baptised Arianna, Fr. Dom from the Dominican Brothers. He is the Vocations Director. Ok, I think that’s enough talk for now. Enjoy the few pix that I took - I went to WYD 2008!!! *lol*

The main entrance to the expo

Lots & lots & LOTS of people!

Banners everywhere - love the colors!

A live band singing some divine music while people enjoyed they coffee at the  vocation.com Coffee House.

An aerial [sort of] view from the 3rd floor. Who would have thought that that were that many options to choose from?!?! Check out the number of booths there! UNBELIEVABLE.

God is calling - can you hear Him?

We didn’t spend a lot of time there which was fine by me since the crowd suddenly became so huge with a rush of pilgrims rushing in as we were leaving. I guess many just wanted to be out of the cold. I can’t imagine what the pilgrims from the Carribbean are going through! SO kesian….

On our way home from MIL’s on Sunday, we took the scenic route home through Parramatta Park. I had not been here in a long time so it was a pleasant visit. I was shocked as we got out the car to find all these cockies ‘waiting’ for us!

Dozens of cockies all over the place!! I’m not sure what is it but I think it must be some sort of mating season now. These birds were so noisy too!!

Further down is Parramatta River and just across it was a huge nesting grounds for the bats. It was quite a sight and it was the first time I ever saw that many bats in one place, out in the open like that. It was times like that that I wished I had a more powderful camera as it would have definitely made a difference in some of the shots that we took.

Ted took this shot although I tried to myself, no bats wanted to fly by!!

Here’s a closer look at the nesting bats - all asleep during the day as it was about 2.30pm when we took this shot.

A step back and this is what they look like.

A little further and you’d think that this was just outside Batman’s lair!

It was really cold out that day so to have a nice bundle to hold on to was SUCH a blessing! :P

Correct! Your eyes did not deceive you - it’s my recently purchased on eBay, GoDuster!! :) I never thought that I’d end up buying something that I saw on telly, what more, an item that has got to do with housework!!

O M G…..if my mum was reading this, she wouldn’t believe it. *lol* Me and housework are miles apart. Aitelyu, if I had the means, I’d get someone to come in and do the housework, mainly the cleaning, once a fortnight but sadly, I’m no tai-tai. So one more item struck off my wishlist. I absolutely abhor housework and if I can find a way to make it easier, I will take it and so, I got this GoDuster thingamajig lor…with the hope that it will make me enjoy dusting as the slogan goes. It just came in today so I can’t say for sure that it has done it’s magic. I did try out the mini head and it did the job, so will try the bigger head tomorrow.

Actually, this isn’t my first purchase online. I’ve been rather busy recently, religiously logging on to eBay [Aus], Oztion and a couple of other super cheap sales sites to look for stuff I can get at cheaper prices. In fact, my first purchase was from CrazySales, which happen to have an advert on FaceBook so I hopped over to check it out and instantly got attracted to get a set of new knives since the ones I had were driving me insane. Despite sharpening them, still so tumpul - very teh geram so I kept my eyes peeled for something good. But I learnt my lesson though - don’t rush and get something that you like. If you look long enough, something better and cheaper will come by. And I had to commit 2 mistakes to learn that lesson - so, children….learn from me.

After getting these items at such cheap prices and at a fraction of the prices you see advertised on tv, you kind of get hooked. So after that, despite not needing anything, I still logged in. And now, I’m keeping an eye out for MS Office package and Photoshop Element 6. Not only that, I also purchased 13 postcards from Lourdes for AU5 which is dirt cheap to someone who loves postcards like me. :) I’m waiting for that in the mail which I think is already at my MIL. I didn’t want it sent here coz the postman here like to bend all my postcards - so geram and maddening!

I must say that part of me is glad that I have a PayPal account and as I mentioned many times before, despite losing a lot of readers due to this, writing sponsored isn’t all that bad. Now I see how all that writing has paid off. At least to a certain extend la - otherwise how to indulge myself like this? :P

This weeks shot is somewhat of a walk down memory lane for me. I’m not used to showing off parts of me but I guess this is an exception because it’s so special and I was proud to be spotted with this load. :)

This is a shot of my baby bump at 19 weeks. Mind you, I was showing until I was well into my 6th month! Some people at my old office didn’t even know I was pregnant. *lol* Was really funny and sometimes I felt as if there was something wrong with me since the ladies at my pre-natal classes looked as if they were ready to pop even though it was still way to early. Actually, because of the way they looked, I was to a certain extend glad that I didn’t ‘grow’ to that size. Stretch marks hurt and are really an unpleasant sight!

And this is me at 35 weeks and just about to pop. I think it was about a week later that Arianna arrived. Comparatively, I think I wasn’t huge at all. In fact, I could still wear some of my pre-pregnant clothes in this stage. That blouse I have on is one of them though can’t say much for my jeans! *lol* My MIL always told me that I looked ‘neat’ when I was pregnant for which I am totally thankful for. I really didn’t want to be overweight because putting on too much also meant that shedding it would be hell!

Hope you enjoyed that - have a great weekend!

It’s been awhile since I last put up some pix so I thought that it was about time. :) Here are some of the latest shots.

Our first shot together at the new unit - celebrating autumn. It was darn cold that day!

What can I say - I take better shots! *lol* Arianna here with Daddy

This is her ‘What you looking at?’ look - like very tu lan right? ;)

This is Arianna’s signature look - almost every picture I take she will pull this face.

What a tease!! When she was in this position, I thought that she was going to make her first attempt. But sadly, she pulled a big bluff on me!

This is another one of my favourites - she just loves to show off her 2 teeth. *lol*

Arianna enjoying some sun on our balcony while having her morning tea - Farley’s rusk all the way from Kulim.

Being typical girly girl, Arianna is turning into quite a vain pot! *lol* She absolutely loves to stare at herself in the mirror. Most of the time, she’s trying to beat the heck out of her image in the mirror! ‘Who is that baby wearing my clothes?!’

Another one of my favourites because of the close up shot. I try to capture the color of her eyes but photos just don’t do her eyes any justice. But this is one of Ted’s favourites and is currently my desktop background.

Arianna gave me this look when I called her ‘cheekums’. It’s something Ted came up with. I think it’s got a cute tingle to it - ‘cheekums’ and ‘cheekyboo’. I like!

I will be adding more pix especially those taken during our hotel stay in Penang.
