What an awesome night! It was fantastic….it was orgasmic……it was uplifting and I felt like as if angels from heaven were playing their instruments just for me. :daydream: [Leonard is CUTE!!!!! :daydream: :daydream: :daydream: Tall dark n HANDSOME....literally.]
Now, now….before you get your panties wet with delight and all sorts of naughty thoughts flying through the air like daggers, it is not what you think. At all.
Ted, together with 2 of his friends and I went to a concert of a special sort. This is not the kind where you get mossed or have the artists throwing themselves unto their fans hoping that the fans will break their fall, which the fans normally do but that is not the point. The point it this concert was the first one I’ve ever gone to and I can see myself looking forward to going again. It was a date with Saffire, the Australian guitar quartet. It was worth every dollah we paid, right to the very last cent!
I wasn’t really looking forward to going but it was something that I knew Ted wanted to do and I guess it was about time we spent some time out at night in the city. So after picking Prez up at 5pm, we drove into the city and parked. We were lucky to get that last parking spot, really. But being so early and the doors only opened 15min to 8pm, we together with Prez’s brother, Gus [I think] took a walk to find a bar. What shitty luck for me that I just had to wear my boots!! Although I looked to kill, I felt like killing myself. It’s a whole lot tougher walking downhill than uphill in boots and I learnt that yesterday. :grouch: And to make matters worst, many bars were not opened to the public and so we had to go hunting for a bit when we FINALLY found something to park our butts.
Yesterday, I had a lot of beers. Much more than I could ever imagine and I think I’m beginning to like it! [Oh no.....I've got the beer bug!!!! *hic*] I had like 3 shots yesterday which is a lot for one who doesnt like beer! I wasnt able to even finish one mug sometime ago….sheesh, this isnt good news I think. Anyways, by 7.30pm we were back at the Conservatorium and they opened the doors to the hall at 7.45pm.
8pm sharp, we heard the side door open and out marched 4 pleasant looking people who took their places, got comfortable, tuned up and started playing their guitars. It was then that I felt the doors of heaven open and the angels must have come down to caress and pluck those strings with such passion and emotion that I was totally sucked into it. I was literally lifted off my seat and I had goosebumps all over. It was really quite an experience and is one that I’m not going to forget for awhile. I was totally caught off guard and if you like music from the Renaissance era and into the mesmerising sounds of the guitar, you’ll be jiggying with this act!
I totally recommend this night out with these very talented artists. I couldnt believe how fast their fingers moved over the length of the guitar neck and how they practically played their fingers off. Karin is simply SUPER!! They all are really!!! It’s really amazing….:kowtow: Their next concert is at Canberra but the whole list is here. If you’re in the area, you must go watch it!! If not, buy their album lor….

Ted & I got married more than a month ago [:dancing:] and sadly, Lilian couldn’t make it as her son had high fever that night. But being the wonderful and thought person that she is, she gave us a very special wedding gift. She gave us a Pixart Photobook album and it came TODAY!!! :dancing:
Lilian had dropped me a message saying that it was on it’s way but I thought that hopefully [was keeping my fingers crossed here] it would come latest by Saturday. But what a sweet surprise I got when the postman turned up and beep-ed for us this afternoon!
I knew immediately what it was. The moment I laid eyes on that photobook…..I was in love!! [Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lilian!!]
Our Photobook album Hosted on
Zooomr
I absolutely ADORE the cover, it’s just beyond words and the inside ~ Pixart has immortalised our wedding pix and it will not fade [coz the pix are printed on glossy paper] and I won’t lose anything either [since we can't always rely on CDs and DVDs] as all the pages been bound and has a hard cover. It really makes a GREAT gift for family and friends for ANY occasion. It could even be your travelogue too as I know many are good photographers and a travelogue would be perfect to keep all those memories and shots nicely decorated and bound in hard cover! [Looks knowingly at Visithra & Anjali.]

I am certainly looking forward to getting one done once we start having kiddies of our own. Pixart….YOU RAWK!
Ps. I know many of you are still waiting for me to upload more of my wedding pix but sadly, I have not done it. Please hop on over to my zooomr account and check them out there. I’ve put up some of my favs and the best. Do leave me a comment or 2.

Hehehehe…..I’ve managed to squeeze in a coupla minutes while lepakking [hanging out] at my Lil Sis’s room at UTM. For once her network is working ok now ~ konon lar U Teknologi M. She’s having her convo on Monday. We arrived here yesterday and have been pretty much doing nothing but eating and sleeping! Lol
I’ve been eating to my hearts content especially all those Johor dishes which I miss so much ie. lontong [This pix has some topping which I prefer to do without.] and my Aunt’s wildboar curry. I’m such a woman of pleasure these days. It, however won’t last for long lar. I just saw the unit Ted has placed an deposit for ~ looks very nice n homely but it will cost us so, bye-bye leisure time once I settle myself down in Oz. *sigh* Back to the grind for me!
I cant tell you what a GREAT feeling it is to have a place to call our own, our home. Can’t wait to start decorating the place!
Ps. In case you’re wondering what is so huge….UTM is!! :hypnotized:Aiyo, it’s easily the HUGEST local uni I know of! If you dont have any transport, can die standing lor!!! Got their own ‘highway’ too….happening!
Note : Alamak…I got wrong info lar and go ahead of myself!
I thought we already had the unit in hand but actually, we just submitted our application. *Malunyer* But here’s hoping the application goes through.

Aug
On 17th August 2006, my family, Ted & I made our way down to JPN to get our registration done, but I think you already know the story and thus, began our hectic and seriously ridiculous trip to KL.
Came Sunday evening, we took the 5.10pm flight out to KL on MAS. Ted’s pretty upset with the service he’s been getting from MAS as they have been screwing up his Enrich points and let’s just say that his return flight home was most probably the last he will ever take on MAS. I thought we would arrive late coz there was a rather bad and unexpected jam on the bridge ~ can you imagine 10 lanes merging into 2?? But thankfully we were right on time BUT instead, the flight was delayed until 5.50pm. By the time we got to KL Sentral [we took the KLIA Express and I recommend it to all if you wanna save on time, it's really good!], it was about 8pm and we were suppose to meet up with some friends for drinks and dinner. During the flight, we were discussing on what to do. Our hotel was only booked for one night as I had forgotten to get it extended for 2 days and it was fully booked, plus I didn’t want to bother my friends by crashing at their place so we pretty much decided to cut our trip short and take our chances.
We had to make sure that we get everything done on Monday itself and take the evening flight out to Penang and that is exactly what we did. We wanted to change our flight in the MAS office at KLIA but I can tell you, you’ll grow old and die there waiting for them so after waiting for about 15 mins and noticing that the numbers hardly moved, we left to check in at the hotel. I called up my agent and made the flight arrangements. Wen and Anjali met up with us at Midvalley and after a quick bite at McDonald’s, we moved on to a sport bar called All Stars. The decor was ok and it had a pool and snooker table, so that was good BUT the service we got was bad! They work so slow and so rude when the balls got stuck in the table. Aiyo, being rude to your customer is not a good thing, girl….better buck up! It was here that Anjali lost her virginity.
All in all, we had a good time but we had to retire early as we had an early start the next day.
Came Monday morning, we immediately got ourselves to the Oz Hi-Comm to get the original Single Status form belonging to Ted. It was waiting for us when we got there so that was a good sign and right after that, we went to KL Sentral and got the KLIA Express to Putrajaya. Once there, we got a taxi straight to Wisma Putra, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was already 12noon and I was keeping my fingers crossed that they had not closed for lunch. Praise the Lord the office was still open when we got there and even before we could sit ourselves down, our number got called! I was overjoyed….things were going smooth, or so I thought. We asked the clerk to get our form stamped and what did she tell us? ‘Sorry Sir, you have to get Oz Hi-Comm to certify this before we can proceed.’ WTF?!?!?! :suprised: I was caught off guard that I was speechless for at least 10 to 15 seconds. So I told her that we had just come from there and no one said anything and even JPN people didn’t mention that Hi-Comm had to certify this copy. On top of that, this was the original copy, how to certify some more?? But she insisted and wouldn’t budge so we had no choice but to return to Oz Hi-Comm which by the way is at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng/Jalan Ampang [near KLCC]. I was so afraid we wouldnt make it in time as Hi-Comm shuts at 12noon [Weird right?] In order to not waste time, we took a taxi straight to Oz Hi-Comm and that cost us a whopping RM50 ~ so painful lor!
True enough the office was shut as we reach at about 1.30pm. Being Ozzie and all, I told Ted to do all the talking and after a bit of hassling from us coz the stupid receptionist wasn’t friendly enough and obviously was not interested in helping us coz she just told us the office was shut, pls come back tomorrow, she finally offered to find out if the officers in charged would help us out…what did she think we were? Growing money on trees that we could come and go as we please? Aiyoo…..so useless! Anyway, we managed to get our copy stamped and that ONE stamp and signature cost us RM80. I think all Hi-Comms are bloodsuckers.
We rushed to get the earliest train to Putrajaya and made by 1 minute before the doors shut behind us coz we stopped to get lunch. Lunch was posphoned till 2.30pm since breakfast which was at about 8am with nothing in between. So you can imagine how hungry we were. Between us, we had 3 burgers, a large fries and an apple pie. We were very stuffed and contented after that. We arrived back at Putrajaya at 3.35pm. The office shuts at 4pm so you can see how close we were to closing time, it was scary and I wouldnt know what to think or do if we had missed it. [Thank goodness Rakesh had offered to book us a room in case we couldnt make it in time.] This time the clerk didnt say much but took our form and told us to take a seat. It didnt take long before it was 4pm and it was slightly after 4pm that we got our form back all duly signed by the designated officer. That few minutes and a signature cost us RM10 ~ EVERYTHING is money!! But in any case, we could finally breathe a breath of relief, it was done and all we had to do now was get this copy back to JPN so that they will release our marriage certs.
After that, we took it slow and by the time we got to the air port, we were early so we stopped for coffee and a horrible and expensive teh tarik. At least I now know that I should never, ever buy teh tarik at an air port ~ it’s just a scam. All made with just a press of a button. Yuck! Our flight was at 7.40pm and it was almost 10pm by the time we got home. We even skipped dinner coz we were so tired. It was off to bed for Teddy and me.
Total expenditure for this really unnecessary trip which could have been avoided if only JPN was a bit more efficient and not so careless :
Flight tickets : RM802
Hotel : RM175
KLIA Express [2 way for 2] : RM140 [Wasted RM70 because we didnt use the return bit coz we took the KLIA Transit from Putrajaya]
KLIA Transit to Putrajaya [1 way for 2, twice] : RM38
KLIA Transit from Putrajaya to KLIA [for 2] : RM12.60
Taxi from Putrajaya Sentral to Wisma Putra [RM8 per trip] : RM16
Taxi from Wisma Putra to Putrajaya Sentral [RM8+RM1 coz you call them to fetch you] : RM18
Taxi from Putrajaya Sentral to Jalan Yap Kwan Seng : RM50
LRT expenses : Approx RM50
Hi-Comm Stamp : RM80
MFA Stamp : RM10
Total : RM1391.60
YAY, MALAYSIA BOLEH!
Ps. The funny bit is ALL these offices that should have a common understanding, certain guidelines and rules to follow, dont have it at all!! Then how to be productive and efficient?? All in all, I hate being jerked around….
So much to blog, so little time!! :grrr: But I will make it through, I’m sure I will. There are a couple of things I need to blog about namely the time when Ted & I got jerk around in KL the last weekend and also our little trip to the treetop canopy walk ~ the longest treetop canopy walk in the world I hear. I’ve lived in Penang for a number of years while I was studying and even then, there are so many places in Penang I’ve not step foot yet. Muka Haid was one of them.
With my aunt and uncle from Sydney down for the wedding and then a holiday, my family and I were somewhat tourists guides for the last month or so. I find it a good oppoturnity for me to experience parts of Penang I’ve only heard about. It’s funny how being a ‘native’ [somewhat], you don’t really visit touristy spots until someone comes along and makes you take them and THEN you realise, hey this place is great! This is pretty what much what has happened to me since my aunt [Angie] and uncle [Dave] came down. I’ve been to places I’ve only heard people talk about and to physically be there ~ awesome.
We spent the whole of Friday drving around Penang Island. Our trip started off with 2 cars driving to the End Of The World down at Teluk Bahang where the jetty is located in this rather old fishing village. This area was badly damaged by the tsunami and the restaurant called End Of The World was washed away. It has since reopened under a new management and is currently located near the Teluk Bahang roundabout ~ can’t miss it, it’s the only one there.

Golly, can’t believe that I haven’t had the time to blog properly nor read the blogs I normally frequent. So sad lar…
But worry no more, I’ve finally found some time on my hands as Ted has left for Sydney this morning. I’ve got about 3 weeks grace of ’singlehood’ in my hands so I better make the most of it.
I know many of you are SO teh excited about our honeymoon. Rest assured that although we enjoyed it, it could have been better. I’ll let Ted tell you all about it while I put up the pix instead.

The hotel [Don't let looks deceive you ~ the damn pool was shut under maintenance all the time we were there and no apology was given nor offered. Like Ted, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.]

The bridal bed : Cute but the motive didn’t last long.

The couple in one of their best shots.

Appropriate or not? Fisherman waiting for his catch.

A view while on the beach. We stayed on the mainland not Pangkor Island in case you were wondering. I SHOULD HAVE got us a hotel on the island. *sigh*

A Pangkor sunset.
All in all, it was a stay in bed, lazy holiday as it should be. A well-deserved one after all the hustle and bustle preparing for the wedding and all. It would have been great if not for those rather major hiccups.
O, by the way…Lucia, Anjali & Bunny wrote about our wedding…so sweet lar.
