Getting ready for summer!!

Summer is just around the corner and everyone is busy getting into shape so that they get all nice and slinky to slip into all those wonderful swimsuits. :) I am no exception but the only difference is, I’m a little shy and at this moment, looking like a beached whale so I won’t be in a skimpy swimsuit. I’d rather be a little modest and cover up but still want to look sexy. :) Perhaps I’d get me a tankini but what I’d really like is a monokini - they are just so cute!!

Time to shape up, dear!

I know that it’s a great reason not to go on a diet but just because one is pregnant, doesn’t really mean one can go crazy and stuff themselves crazy, you know what I mean? I’m not saying that I am but I did notice that I get peckish really easy these days and find myself munching on lots of snacks. That’s really bad. :( I try to keep them at bay but heck, no one can stop a pregnant woman from eating, ok? I remember one night that I was so peckish for something salty that Ted offered to walk down to McD’s and get me fries becasue I’m absolutely loving them these days. But I didn’t have the heart to ask him to do so because it was late and he had also just came back from a long day at work. Keeping in mind that I know I have to work off these excess kilos, I still can’t help myself. I know there’s an easier way like using one of the many diet pills out there, but I prefer a good cardio workout. I just hope I don’t faint!

My PC needs an upgrade

Ted’s had his PC for a very long time. Ever since he got the new laptop, he has since ‘given’ me his old PC to play with and I’m quite happy with it. But since it’s a little old, I thought that perhaps it was time to upgrade the computer memory. I’m no expert about computers but all I want is to get this computer working faster and definitely get more space on it too. Being a mum of a toddler with another one on the way, you just can’t get enough snapshots! As a mum, I wish I could capture every second of her life but this is not always the case but I still try! :)

Books galore

Between us, I really don’t know how many books we own. Ted is an avid reader and although I love reading myself, I am not reading as much as I would like to or used to. I used to just devour books in a day or 2. Sadly, these days, it’s a miracle if I can finish a chapter a day! We buy all sorts of books from self taught books to inspirational books and some times, even textbooks. With many online stores these days, if you look hard enough, you’ll be able to find something you really like for half or less the price than you normally pay for. Isn’t that just grand?? :)

I LOVE SALES!

When ever I hear that a sale is going on, I normally find myself making a beeline to that store. I’m an absolute sucker for sales and as much as I try to avoid it, it’s just almost impossible. It drives Ted absolutely crazy! I guess it is because I normally walk into a sale with nothing in mind to buy but end up with at least a couple of items that we ‘had’ to buy on impulse. For most of the time, I make sure it’s a good deal before getting it of course, but it doesn’t mean that it will sit well with Ted. ;)

One of the things which I’m always on the lookout for is safety gadgets to place around the house to keep Arianna away from all those dangerous things such as power points, wires, sharp table corners and especially from the kitchen cabinets and draws. She just loves to pull open draws and cabinet draws and more than once, got her fingers caught. Not to mention the mess she creates when she pulls out everything from indise the draws too! However, the most recent product that I really have my eyes peeled for is a safety gate or more precisely an Expansion Swing Gate. This gate will not only keep Arianna out of the kitchen but also away from our newly DIY bookshelf which Ted has almost completed. With all those books just within her reach, it would be best to keep them away from her for now.

Acne treatment

Did you suffer from acne when you were growing up? If you have always had flawless skin, then you should be thankful. I had a bad case of acne and skin condition while I was growing up and every day was a living nightmare for me. Not only did I get teased at school, my self esteem was rock bottom.

I couldn’t really find the right acne treatment for myself and even if there were some around back then, it was very expensive because of its new technology. I always found that frustrating however, these days, the options are wide and if you research hard enough, you’ll find one that is just right for you. :)
