I’ve been wondering for a very long time now how to store my cards properly so that they don’t get spoilt. Actually, I had many ideas including getting a special folders for postcards but they were too expensive and with the growing number of postcards I have, this was not a good long term solution.
Then my other idea was just to put them in photo albums but that too wasn’t something I was totally happy with because I couldn’t see the back, only the front. Finally, I decided that for time being, I will still keep them in my shoe box but I’ve arranged them according to alphabets.
That way I can still pull them out to look at them when I want too and at the same time, keeping them is a lot easier too. This will be my method until I come up with something else. If you have any other ideas or some sort of management method that works for you, please share it with me! I’m all ears.
A special card I bought because during this time, I was pregnant 15 weeks with our baby girl, Arianna. We stayed at Mariner’s Hotel & Motel on the Waterfront from 28/2/07 to 3/3/07.
Of all the fish in the sea
our Lord chse the lowly sailcat,
to remind us of His mercy
His body on the cross outlines,
the hilt of the sword
which was plunged into His side
is clearly defined.
Look at the back of the fish’s bone
where the ROman shield is shown.
When you shake the cross
you will hear the dice being tossed
for our Lord’s blood stained dress,
those who can hear them
will be blessed.
A stay at home mum who has been into postcard swapping since 2006 but has been penpalling for at least 15 years. Have always had the passion to write and get to know people from their letters. Absolutely loves travelling but due to financial and family obligations, travelling has been put on hold. Loves making friends from around the world particularly those who are genuine and not one off penpals. Always makes an effort to keep the friendship going as long as there is a 2 way communication going on. The letter may arrive late but it always will.
